  • This also isn't full HD in 3D mode. It's polarized so it would only be 960x1080.

  • @tatecheddar Or 1920x540 depending on how it's done.

  • I want to get my hands on a movie theater projector. Then focus it's image onto a 32" display. Basically the same clarity as this, only the size of a standard TV. Too bad that hardware is too costly to be feasible and you wouldn't be able to use it for anything except movie reels.

  • nice for the diy projector :)

  • cool

  • 458 DPi WWTTTTFFFFFFF!!!!!!??

  • this new passive 3d technology show FULL-HD 3D with glasses ! until now passive 3d technology divide by 2 the resolution , so all 2011 Passive 3d TV show 3d in only 540lines VHS resolution ! not FULL HD 3D like this

  • This requires glasses. 'Circularly polarised'. You'll need polarised glasses to view.

  • 3ds?

  • oh my god 1920x1080 in 4,8" thats incredible... and 3d!!!! Japan... how those guis do that, have you seen the size of theyer country, and how mutch space left taking out the volcanos.

  • @andeciuala I know, its nuts. How do you fit 2,073,600 dots on a 4.8" square sheet?

  • ``incredible high definition beyond the detection limit of the human eye`` who the fuck are you trying to sell this to? aliens

japan you so crazy and smart

  • The displays on the back of the newest Canon DSLRs have a pixel density of 500ppi, which is finer than this. The 3" screens have approximately 720p resolution.

  • umm what ever happened to displays with out glasses!!

  • @DouglasMcK They ARE without glasses. These guys just happened to need glasses for their own eyesight. :p

  • @chickenboo88 no those are active parallax glasses you can see that they are at 0:15 1:42 and near the end..

  • @DouglasMcK Whether they are or not, they're not the reason why that guy is seeing the 3D effect. Notice that at 1:21 another guy comes in to show them off? He watches them, too. And it works for him, too. Regardless if they're active parallax glasses, or simply big thick nerdy-frame glasses, or a person with contacts or no glasses at all, this thing still works. Not quite in the same way as the 3DS, but similarly enough, showing different images to each eye.

  • @chickenboo88 see the info panels above the displays during the interview? and the fact on 1:43 you can see the man wearing glasses over glasses..

  • fact remains they do not make any claim that they are glassless they are just stating they have full HD in 3D

  • I personally happen to know I don't hold glasses that way also..

  • ...and no one anime image...

  • Ooooooooh aaaaaaaaah

  • japans still got it

  • Apple's Retina display has nothing on this!! :P

  • @RandomSignz Retina display is just a marketing term.

  • Depending on the demand you say? I demand we all get one! :D

  • THis would happen on iPad 3 perhaps?

  • @chrischua83 don't think so, because the iPad has a big screen wich would already make it very expensive with a retina display. imagine the price with a 3d display wich is sharper than a retina display...

  • @aligee97 Apple used to not care about the price of their products... ;)

  • @zbnmth Well than why didn't they put a retina display on the iPad 2?

  • @aligee97 becouse they are going to put that on the iPad 6 ? so you are suckerd in to buying that one too

I mean .. iPad 2 has a dual core proccesor .... thats ancient

they are keeping the upgraded ram for the ipad 3 and the quad core for the 4 i guess

The 5 will have 6 cores and a 12MP camera on both sides

    and then super resolution ipad6....

300 euro's each (i'm just quessing) 300x6 equals you being the dumbest fuck on the planet if you plan on buying all of them :D ... marketing ... hehe

  • I bet theres tons of technical stuff showed in that box behind the screen just to support the smallness and HD

  • Umm, fuck 3D display, I just need a HD display or an hi-res display in general, if they add a 3D display on a NGP or any other gaming device, you'd be paying a hefty price.

  • COUGH COUGH new iphone screen COUGH COUGH

  • Imagine if the next PS4 or whatever is actually a home/portable console i.e. it will run full HD bluray games on ur home 1080p HDTV like it would normally would. But it is actually a dock/charging point for a portable device which can be removed and play the same said game on the go.

  • Make robot sex slaves NAO!

  • Fuck 3D... give me a hi-res display and I'll get it.

  • meah

  • YEESSSS!! iPhone 7 will be 3D!!!

  • @Str8Bmxin theres a phone thats out ( I think ) Lg optimus 3D , its in 3d ;D its twice as fast as the iphone 4

  • @a4ota LG Optimus 3D, EVO 3D are (just as you mentioned) are 3D capable phones and WAAAAAAAAAAY more powerful than an iPhone could ever be :D

  • Nobody said it was touch screen though... anyway good product ^^

  • retina display. haha

  • Little smaller and you can watch 1080p 3D on your phone!

  • This thing beats the hell out of the iPhone's retina display

Retina = 326 pixels per inch

Ortustech Display = 458 pixels per inch

  • @peppeddu Amazing that something developed almost one year AFTER the retina display is better?

Since you can not see over 300ppi 458 is very useful right?

  • it s the 3ds screen but hd -_-

  • @segafan230 lol its not just hd. its full hd. i dont get how thats unimpressive. the ppi is insane. and the fact it can go 3d is insane aswell

  • wow cool stuff

  • geez, 1920x1080 on a 4.8inch screen...

  • @TheAoiSekai holy cow, thats the size of my 21.5 inch

  • Yep, this tech is definitely destined for a (near) future superphone. ;)

  • this is pure insanity!

  • all devices with this technology will that damn expensive>>>

  • put this on iPhone, iPod and all other iDevices

  • Iphone 5 in the making !!

  • That's too awesome!

  • This will lead into to full immersion 3D goggles like in Back to the Future.

  • @KnightMD it is glasses free. the guy watching it on the vid just happened to wear regular specs.

  • @ZuiGe OMG... ur right, that's what he meant talking about the layer they adhered to the screen.....

WOW.... this is the retina 3D display I've been waiting for. To bad it won't arrive in phones before late 2012.

  • put this technology on the NGP and PSP that would be an awesome shit.

  • @rotenburk yeah you´ve got the point ^^

  • @rotenburk NGP does not need 3D!!! It has OLED and HD screen !! no point in having 3d plus the NGP has touchscreen !!

  • @rotenburk would be expensive as hell though

  • @rotenburk

Than you need a gpu 4 times faster for playing the same games....

  • @rotenburk and then the games would lag like crap :(

even consoles like the 360 and ps3 run games at resolutions lower than 1080p and then upscale them.

  • @dingumfCallofDuty "EVEN consoles"? Consoles are slowpokes compared to a mid-range gaming computer.

  • @zbnmth compare the size of a console and your imagined computer.

  • @dingumfCallofDuty

I thought you meant home consoles, not handhelds. Sorry.

  • @rotenburk Aww, too bad, but 3Ds seems to have it first before anyone does

  • @rotenburk the Ps vita has a Hd Oled screen with 16 million colors! soo im pretty sure its good enough

  • Its good because its in "shree dee"! :-P

  • @jatigre1

Ahaha! Thank you! I really laughed out loud from that!

  • @jatigre1 and it's full "heich dee" too :p

  • @Blackwargreymon Isn't that how it's normally pronouced?? haha

  • @heytisazn emm... maybe...... no .... xD

  • wow thats damn nice, i would deffinatly prefer a screen the sise of my wall with that many pixels per inch though :P man that would be expencive though xD

  • damn, when I used to be a kid I would dream about these things. But now I don't have the possibility to afford them..
