After he was elected (very shortly thereafter) he immediately said he was going to freeze the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for Social Security recipients. I know and I vividly remember it because I was and I still am collecting Social Security. I was fuming. Everyone else (including Hillary) fell for his lies after that, but I didn't. Another problem with the media is how they jump on a story before the person has a chance to clear their name. A work colleague went to court having been falsely accused of a crime. He was soon cleared of the charges but the story about him drove his neighbors to vandalize his property and his reputation was demolished. After he was proven innocent, people still only side with the news.
