This is a traditional Ayurvedic practice and you shouldnt listen to anyone but someone who has studied Ayurveda! When done right Ayurveda can be highly beneficial but not with tea tree oil :S Ask someone who has a degree in Ayurveda, they ll know everything... I dont think this guy is informed enough but just gives his opinions on oil pulling rather than having studied the facts...
I am reading a book that says never swallow the mix because it is full of toxins and this author says he has seen many patients cure many different degenrative diseases and dental problems with this therapy. This guy is dumb and not talking about facts. UUUrrrrrrrgggghhh. don't make vids on stuff you don't have facts on!!!!!
When you are swishing oil in your mouth for 15 - 20 minutes, a thin mayonnaise is made. Mayonnaise is made by mixing oil and an acid. It also smothers anaerobic bacteria. It also pulls oleophilic compounds into solution. Some poisons are oloephilic.
Good video. Natasha the raw foodist is the first one that I heard this from. I am trying it and I see a bit of an improvement with my teeth. It is amazing. I really believe in it and I will try it for a year to see the best results.
I bought sunflower oil but in the label is not specified if it is cold pressed. Is it dangerous to use this oil if it isn't cold pressed?. The label says "obtained directly by mechanical procedure. Can I still use it? greetings from Italy
I have a better idea! I will substitute the oil with TEQUILA! Alcohol kills germs, so it's OK to swallow when your done. Don't wait to long to swallow it, just do it often. When you get done you will feel real good! :-)
Wellness Detective says great video Kevin. I started oil pulling 3 years ago when I started the raw food lifestyle. It helped whiten my teeth and my pain from arthritis reduced as well.
i bet you dont have too much of a detox with OP, Kevin, because you are so darn healthy already. I can only speak for myself, friends and the hubby that OP is extremely effective for detox. Especially for *immediately* relieving congestion in the sinuses and ears. Can't speak for long term, but have heard great things- particularly with teeth and gums. Let there be no doubt, it's the real deal.
Kevin....oil pulling works.I love it. It is the only thing that has cleared up chronic sinus infections and other serious problems as well in a relatively short period of time. This is my experience.Peace, Valerie
Not sure I believe OP pulls toxins from your body, however I do believe it clears toxins and bacteria from your mouth, bacteria is known to cause all kinds of ailments throughout your body e.g. gum disease is linked to heart attacks and also heart surgery patients are to avoid invasive dental procedures to close as it can cause a heart attack. I do believe Oil Pulling massages the gums, cleans teeth and under gum line and relieves the toxic burden from your body which will lead to better health
has anyone actually teste the oil afterwards to see if there are actually toxins there .. people say they dont really know but who tests it to see whats in it so we can stop wondering ?
Science proved that oral health is the link to your overall health. The oil will fight off bad bacteria, cure poor oral health and that will help the body to heal because most oils have antiseptic in them. Coconut, sesame seed and sunflower oils probably have more antiseptic properties than other oils. It’s like a natural mouthwash but without all the harsh chemicals that can cause poor health. Also the oil loosens up tater, so it’s easier to brush away.
I first heard about oil pulling from either UndergroundWellness or TinFoilHatLady i forget. Whoever is was, they said use Coconut oil. PS They both have more in depth videos than this fellow.
THIS MAN IS COMPLETELY INCORRECT!! "It's not toxins coming out of your body".... are you serious? Did you actually do any research on this? The benefits of oil pulling are astronomical, and are 100% related to eliminating toxins from the body. Your logic and "tips" here are very amateur. I will not waste time watching any of your other videos.
@retrodrummergirl There are no studies to prove that oil pulling removes any toxins from your body. Toxins are eliminated through urine, stool, sweat, and breathing. The only benefit from swishing some oil in your mouth for a while is mouth tissue massage, antibacterial effects, and EFA consumption. Exercise, organic whole foods diet, herbs, and certain supplements are the only proven ways to detoxify your body silly.
The whiteness of the oil when it comes out is due to the saliva and starch that you have in your mouth which helps brake food down during chewing. These mixed with the swishing and heat in your mouth turns it to white. You can cook oil and potato or other starchy food and leave a thin layer of the oil in a dark surface. you will see it turn white by the next day. melted lard also does this. fake science if you ask me. you get your teeth whiter by brushing them 5 times a day after pulling the oil
fyi about xylitol - the gum is supposedly good for your teeth but theres two reasons i woudnt recommend it. 1) it loses its flavor in (literally) less than a minute so you have to chew more and 2) xylitol causes diarrhea. it does this by pulling water into your intestines. i chewed about 50 small pieces within about an hour (because they kept losing their flavor) and i thought i had gotten food poisoning. just ingest in TINY amounts is all im saying, good luck.
Hi piwackett33. Thanks for correcting my posting. But whatever you call them, the point is that males who use tea tree oil have been known to grow breasts that look like women's.... and even lactate like female breasts. Most men would understandably like to avoid something like that happening. Lavender can have a similar effect. In today's world we're far too cavalier about consuming products, both natural and unnatural, that wreak damage on male and female hormones.
Tea tree oil may have some benefits for women (notice I say "may"), but it's harmful to men and boys. It decreases their testosterone and increases female hormones. The result is, men become feminized... they grow breasts... even young boys who use products such as shampoos that include tea tree oil have sometimes grown female breasts. Unless your goal is to become feminized, physically, mentally and emotionally, you should avoid using it.

i went on pubmed yesterday and looked up sth. about neem as well (there are studies for it to be a contraceptive). there is nothing on your website where one can post, though.
I read an article about oil pulling and Mr. Rao talking about how his wife started oil pulling and said her varicose vains had dissapeared. Is that possible?
Isn't tea-tree oil quite strong and toxic? Be careful people. It seems like great stuff, but take care and start small with whatever you experiment with.
@weka You are 100% correct! I used the Melaleuca brand of tea tree oil and my mouth and face blew up and suffered for 10 days. Melaleuca avoided the whole ordeal altogether.
Wow. Hope things are better now. Yes, as you discovered, "natural" does not equate to healthy/harmless, although natural is a step in the right direction.
Somebody told me today that the industry in a specific sector hasn't found a solution to a plant disease that is devastating a certain crop.
My response was that us humans are really quite rubbish at GOOD solutions to anything. Either they are unsustainable (coal, antibiotics, etc.) or the fallout is too great. Oh well.
@weka May I guess your are from somewhere around or in the UK? What is your favorite web site? Thanks. Have you checked out Dr. Bruce Fife? He has done extensive research on Coconut Oil Pulling. My wife does that too. She started using Diatomaceous Red Earth about 1 week ago. What a difference in her gums and crud that was stuck on her teeth from all the dye in the fresh raw vegees we eat. Green tea too. Take care weka:)
What are your thoughts on using the homeopathic "fragaria vesca"? This is also known as wild strawberry. I am using it for my little doggie right now. Humans can also use fragaria vesca. It is supposed to loosen tartar and plaque after a period of a few weeks. The plaque is supposedly easily brushed away after that period of time. If I have good results, I will let you know. Thank you guys for your great shows. Give Jonny a scratch on the head for me!
Regarding the Xylitol...it has been studies and shown to KILL the bacteria that cause cavities...Strep Mutans. So, when used as the sweetener, as in chewing gum, the gum can actually prevent decay.
@kevingianni I disagree with your debunk of what YOU THINK the white stuff you spit out is. YES there is air, YES there is saliva, and YES there are bacteria.
