Are you allowed to dance to songs with lyrics for contemporary solos at ballet competitions? Sorry if this is a random question, but I've never been to a ballet competition before and had noticed all the contemporary solos from YAGP and other competitions online were strictly instrumental. And Christina is absolutely beautiful!

@dancergirl335 Yes:) I attend YAGP myself and haven't really been allowed (by my parents... haha) to dance a strictly lyrical dance. I've performed Wicked's "popular", "I've got the world on a string", and "It had better be Tonight", with the lyrics included and YAGP had no problem with it! It seems though, that most of the lyrical, or purely instrumental do extremely well.
