  • Would it be too far to say that it seems to me that this is the original "Thoughts From Places" video? Because I feel like it is.

  • @awesomenerdfighter Haha! Wow, that is flattering, but no. Thoughts From Places had been going on long before I went to Mexico and, in fact, it inspired my Mexico vlogs. :)

  • look how cute you are

  • @wildchildd Aw, thank you!

  • i dig it, margaret. better video quality will help in my opinion, but it's not a must have. work on those r's though, missy! roll 'em!

  • @fecklessman You only roll them when there are two. "San Bartolo", no. "Arriba", yes.

  • Your videos are always interesting, and you have to tell us if that Flip camera's good, because I was thinking of getting one for Christmas. :)

  • @nimmie54 Will do, will do. :)

  • this is how a vlog should be. :)

  • @wakeupmatthew Aw, thanks!

  • i love your videos n_n its fun to see mexico from an american point of view

  • @MyuuMuad Haha, I try. :)

  • i think its funny how in the related videos there is one on Mexicos Drug war...

  • Right now outside of my window there is a snowstorm going on and you are in freaking Mexico! I'm jealous. xD But you do seem to have a great time over there and I'm thankful for all the glimpses of the sun I can get even if it is through video. :)

  • I swear, even if your videos were just a faint outline of your face surrounded by darkness I would still be unable to unsubscribe...if that make sense, curse you double negatives!

  • @PrettyFascinated Well, that's offensive.

  • Dancing on their graves. Ha.

    HA.

  • There is no terrible content in your videos. Your videos are pure awesome.

  • @TaraUpshall Why, thank you. :)

  • Espero que estas teniendo un buen tiempo en Mexico!!!! (I apologize for the lack of accents. I forgot how to do them on my computer :D)

  • @IsabelDoodlebug Lol Yo tambien sobre los accentos, or else I would have a kick-ass conversation en espanol con tu y ella. From the look of her vlogs, though, it seems like she's having a marvelous time. Hope you are, JustMargaret!

  • @IsabelDoodlebug Haha, thank you! And I can never remember how to do that either.

  • Yay more Margaret! I'm loving these Mexico vlogs. It's funny that I know so little about a culture that is literally twenty minutes away from me, across the border. I get the party thing though. I've been to Day of the Dead in the Mission District in my hometown San Francisco, and it's very similar to your description, minus the graves/actual dead people. And you should come see Peter/me in SD at some point... though maybe not because I don't know how far south you are from here.

  • @KatieGrrl1016 Haha, I'm the same way about Canada! Drive ten minutes and I'm there, yet I've never actually been...

  • Loved the vocab! Don't deny the awesomeness! Have fun and don't worry about your content. It is great! :)

  • @wmg2289 Thanks!

  • @JustMargaret I got a response! Woo! :)

  • Hahaha yayayay for your Flip! I really liked your description of the Day of the Dead, and I understood what you meant, even though it took me a second. At first, I was thinking "I wish Margaret made more of these!" but I really like the fact that you give yourself a lot of time in between so that you do a lot of diverse things. I guess you're about to have your last couple of weeks in Mexico, so yay for you almost being back home! It's bittersweet, I'm sure.

  • @emmfan09 Yeah, it's sort of bittersweet, but I think it's one of those things where I have to leave to really appreciate the time I've had here, you know? I'm so excited to go home...

  • Awesome street art at 0:23 is awesome...

  • I used to go to Mexico every year with my family and watching these vlogs makes me miss it SO MUCH! It's been like 5 years now and I'm a bit nostalgic.

p.s. elote con todo may be gross, but all that stuff minus lime juice was totally delicious last time I had it. In case you haven't experienced it yet, I recommend eating random fruits and veggies covered in lime juice/ chili powder and also drinking fresh squeezed orange juice out of a bag. I'm telling you, bags make food and drinks cooler.

  • @EmilyTakesontheWorld I see those all over the place! Haven't tried them, though. Apparently I should!

  • Oh, I love Day of the Dead, and the skull candy!

I'm loving the Mexico vlogs but see, I'm mexican and I'm living in England right now, and you're making me miss the food. Damn you... please post more videos :)

  • @gabbers2532 Jaja, lo siento!

  • Love the picture of you and your brother's girlfriend. Die de los muertos- I feel like I butchered that- looks very... um and very... wow. In a good way.

Content matters not, so long as I can see your pores with how good the camera is.

  • A friend of mine is focusing on Dia De Los Muertos for a project in my art class, so I've been quite informed recently. After watching this, I've clearly been ill informed. It's really interesting to see what it actually means, rather than just printed Wikipedia pages and paintings done in a couple of hours. It really does look amazing, as does the whole Mexico thing. You're very pretty, too.

  • @ItsBenCracknell Aw, thank you. And yeah, it's super awesome. I went to a lecture about it the day before it started. Really interesting stuff.

  • I read the first Harry Potter book in french :D

  • Really awesome video! Although my father is Italian I was born in Mexico so I have great memories of the "Dia de los Muertos". Thanks again for sharing your experiences, and even though this might be a bias opinion, I have to agree that "Elote con todo" is delicious :]

  • @MyInterwebs Yeah, Dia de los Muertos is awesome! And so is elote!

  • What Caroline said. Also what John Green said.

  • Did you se harry potter, was it good. I thought it was amazing.

  • @defyingmyworld Yes, I saw it, and yeah I liked it!

  • @JustMargaret Awesome.

  • Margarita.

  • @reyesorozco Yes?

  • BAREFOOT in the water, eh?

Sriously, make more of the videos. You always look so relaxed on camera!

  • @barefootfiona I mispelled 'seriously'? P.S. Your conversation partner is adorable.

  • @barefootfiona Isn't she?! I adore her.

  • @barefootfiona Haha, aww. Thanks. Also, that was supposed to be a SECRET nod to you! Now everyone knows! Way to go.

  • At first I was surprised that you uploaded another video so quickly. And then I was like, oh wait, it's because John Green told you to. I am excite for the HD, which hopefully means more videos? Yeah? Yeah? Just pretend I'm John Green. MAKE MORE VIDEOS! :D

  • @coralinehope Two can play that game. Pretend I'm John Green: YOU make more videos!

  • I've been reading the first Harry Potter in Spanish! Chapter 4, yo!

  • @wrockingawesome Awesome! I'm still only on chapter 2.

  • The self-deprecating ending was the best.

  • @DukeofYar I try.

  • i sooo look forward to your videos

  • @KelseyAnnVlogs Aw, thanks.

  • YAY new video
