If an olympic gold medalist wrestler with no mma experiance goes against a master of karate with no mma experiance the wrestler would probably take him down with ease and beat the crap out of him. but if either one of those guys goes against a well rounded, veteran of the sport they would get deystroyed. you cant go into the ufc with one style only and expect to be great. lyoto is so good because he adapts his karate style into mma same with henderson for wrestling, and bj for bjj, to name a few
