  • Holy shit, that's the theme from Charlie's Angels!

  • awesome ! lol yea it scared the hell out me too when i was kid lol nothing beats a good snow beast movie.

  • Good old times lol.

Watched it around 79, aged 8

Regards from Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL

  • did you really need the first 3 minutes of this vid? Id skip ahead to 3:00 if i were you viewers :) happy viewing

  • The musical score is actually pretty good....

  • It scared me too back in 78! I turned 16 that year! It is good to see a movie that uses suspense and good acting rather than over-the-top special effects to scare people! There is a Dr. Who episode called "BLINK" that uses that same method!

  • @mxrdvr I turned 11 that year. I watched it when it first aired on TV. It scared me... and I still love it.

  • How about the "Boss is a F-%kWit" LOL....scary stuff when I was 10; now its just sad...at least the beast could act hahaha

  • "Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" And the screen fades to blood red, as the Snowbeast claims another victim. This cheesy effect became rather annoying after, oh, about the second death.

  • There is a glaring continuity glitch in this scene. When the idiot ski patroller first does his faceplant at 3:50, the force is great enough to knock his goggles and toque off his head (as one might expect would happen). However, at 3:56, we see they are back on his head again, then at 4:08, when he is clinging desperately to the side of the 30-foot ravine (LOL), they are gone again. This must have been shot several times, but they forgot to take the damn hat off his head.

  • Yeah I remember seeing this on telly as a kid too, at some point in the early 80's, on ITV/Central I think. Loads of films like this used to get shown on telly during the 80's, sadly no longer

  • Nobody plays a piece of wood like Robert Logan.

  • I remember when this aired. It was like the Kolchak: The Night Stalker series. You never really saw the monster until the very end. But you knew that it was lurking around.

  • share the sentiments about this. fondly recall this when i was younger too and getting freaked out by this. times have changed , creature seems lame now bu film still holds up well. I love the ending of this scene and big huge arm grabbing head. silly fool should have let himself go.didn't look that dangerous sliding down that hill.

33 years on...due a remake. much more grisly and with a much more terrifying snowbeast. id love to direct!

  • @ceejay75 couldn't agree more about the remake. With today's special effects and other computer-generated enhancements, this could be a blockbuster. The rather lame premise could be worked up into something HUGE.

  • @jazzkeyboardman we should start a facebook page and get this remake produced!! I think any remake would have animatronics or a exceptionally tall man in a suit. The Alien Queen from Aliens and original Predator are the best examples. hollywood relies on too much CGI these days.

The Piranha 3D was a brilliant and enjoyable remake from an original film around the same time as Snowbeast so the potential is certainly there.

  • LOL.......I feel the same as all you crazy mofo's in here........I was 8 yrs. old when they showed this on TV........I crapped my little undies and didnt go out in the woods in winter for months!

  • If Sasquatch really exists, then he will ultimately have the last laugh!

  • Funny how what we recognize as "cheesy, low budget movies" once we have come of age often have such a powerful effect on us when we are much younger.

For a few years after I saw this movie, I was terrified to go skiing or snowmobiling anywhere near trees because I was terrified this thing was hiding behind them.

  • I remember watching this as a kid and I absolutely shit myself.

  • Didn't that guy play(In the blue vest) in the wilderness family

  • neil diamond sure is cranky in that scene

  • Nah, that's Larry from "Three's Company!"

  • I first saw this when I was 8 or 9 and loved it. Saw it recently and it actually holds up pretty well.

  • this film scared me to death when I saw it on video around 1978 aged eight or nine. I still can't walk through a pine forest without thinking about it, and I live in England!

  • @happysnapper999a me to this film has always stayed with me it scared me to death that scene i think it was in the car park were it smashed the windscrean or the side window cant remember witch but i was so scared

  • this movie gave me nightmares for ten fucking years. I lived out at the cabin in the woods in north canada for 2 years. So this film really hit me hard when I saw it, I was about 7 years old or so.

Very frightening film for a kid!

  • it is soooo funny when that guy falls!!! i just posted a vid of the 3 scenes to watch in this movie

  • i was searching for this movie b/c it gave me nightmares when i was a kid. I finally found it.

  • does anyone recognize the plot of this movie.....large killer animal leaves behind bodies during local community festival only to be stopped in the end by small handful of local residents?

  • This scared me shitless when i was alot younger! lol

  • This gave me nightmares for years and I could never figure out what movie it was!!!

  • Me too. Especially the part where someone looks out the window and sees the beast staring back at them.

  • It was really Scary when it runs around that Cabin kinda thing

  • Cheesy and low budget with very bad acting, but it is one of those classics that scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.....

  • I was 1 year old when this came out. I remember watching late at night. Thanks for posting.
