My school is doing this play and i'm in it but we had to add some characters because so many people auditioned and they liked all of the auditions so everyone is in and my charackter is Fudge !!
.......Has it ever occurred to you that shes PLAYING a boy? You can CLEARLY see that is a male butlers outfit. It probably happened because there weren't enough male volunteers.
And? I'm a female, and I played Long John Sliver, and that's a man's name. Hell, I even got to hit on Sarah.
I agree with you on the first part, though. We did it too, and it was better. ((Even if we got our lines mixed up occasionally ^_^`)) Defanitly need more emotion.
When on stage, "overacting" within reason is nesessary. 'Cause, even though things may SEEM loud enough. and exagerated enough to yourself as you act?
It's not enough for the audience.
By the way? My school recently put this on,
and yes, I was Roger. I know what I'm talking about.
i am not talking about loud enough, i mean it isn't believable, it looks very rehearsed (not in the good way)
just because you have been in the show doesn't mean you know exactly what you are talking about. being in a middle school play doesn't make you an expert.
by the way: i was in the show, too. along with MANY others.

Wrong, Roger isn't "acting" enough.
When on stage, "overacting" within reason is nesessary. 'Cause, even though things may SEEM loud enough. and exagerated enough to yourself as you act?
It's not enough for the audience.
By the way? My school recently put this on,
and yes, I was Roger. I know what I'm talking about.

he's not acting enough?!
whatever, he is acting just fine.
i am not talking about loud enough, i mean it isn't believable, it looks very rehearsed (not in the good way)
just because you have been in the show doesn't mean you know exactly what you are talking about. being in a middle school play doesn't make you an expert.

I'm not saying that *just* because I was in the show that makes me an expert. I probably should've been more clear..
I'm an actor of grand Ability, Charisma, and Confidence. I've all the proper training, and all of the honed(sp?) skill to acompany it.
Hellhawg01 3 years ago
But, although my post *may've* made it seem otherwise, this is't about me.
These kids, although young, need to polish their skills much more before performing a show - even such a small theatre performance such as this.
Those are my words, and I will stick to them.
Hellhawg01 3 years ago
are you aware of the actual deffinition of over acting?
pigsox4life 3 years ago
they're children....
Fiyero918 3 years ago
is this 'grand ability, charisma, and confidence' an actual theater program, or how YOU describe your acting skills?
and sure, of course you have had proper training. whatever.
