im sarah! so this is really helpful!

    thanks for posting!

  • I was George and people told me I seemed exactly like a guy. :)))))

  • My old junior high class did this, we were soo good. I was Maude and Dandy.

  • i go to progress village i am going into 7th grade there and i am in the chorus

  • I play George and I'm a girl. And she knows NONE of the lines. Damn I'm so much funnier. SACRED HEART RULES BITCH!

HAHAHAHAHAHA roger sucks Brody is soooooo much better.

AND WE HAVE A COOLER CAST!

  • ...wow you guys suck

my school did that play and it was WAY bettr!! you need more emotion and stop truncating your words.

btw GEORGE is a BOY'S name!!

  • .......Has it ever occurred to you that shes PLAYING a boy? You can CLEARLY see that is a male butlers outfit. It probably happened because there weren't enough male volunteers.

  • And? I'm a female, and I played Long John Sliver, and that's a man's name. Hell, I even got to hit on Sarah.

I agree with you on the first part, though. We did it too, and it was better. ((Even if we got our lines mixed up occasionally ^_^`)) Defanitly need more emotion.

  • good job guys. My school is preforming the same play. Isn't it "When you gotta blow you gotta blow" though? And yah our George is a girl too.

  • roger=overacting

  • Wrong, Roger isn't "acting" enough.

When on stage, "overacting" within reason is nesessary. 'Cause, even though things may SEEM loud enough. and exagerated enough to yourself as you act?

It's not enough for the audience.

By the way? My school recently put this on,

and yes, I was Roger. I know what I'm talking about.

  • he's not acting enough?!

whatever, he is acting just fine.

i am not talking about loud enough, i mean it isn't believable, it looks very rehearsed (not in the good way)

just because you have been in the show doesn't mean you know exactly what you are talking about. being in a middle school play doesn't make you an expert.

by the way: i was in the show, too. along with MANY others.

  • I'm not saying that *just* because I was in the show that makes me an expert. I probably should've been more clear..

I'm an actor of grand Ability, Charisma, and Confidence. I've all the proper training, and all of the honed(sp?) skill to acompany it.

  • But, although my post *may've* made it seem otherwise, this is't about me.

These kids, although young, need to polish their skills much more before performing a show - even such a small theatre performance such as this.

Those are my words, and I will stick to them.

  • are you aware of the actual deffinition of over acting?

  • they're children....

  • is this 'grand ability, charisma, and confidence' an actual theater program, or how YOU describe your acting skills?

and sure, of course you have had proper training. whatever.
