Nice comparison video, the Dreamcast version does have some nice graphics. I miss when Sega could make a good fun arcade racer like this.... This was Sega at there best.

Just download sega model 2 emulator and if your'e PC can handle it,,you can play the true arcade version on that in no time.I do.Good graphics card recommended,shader 2 and above and a dual core is more than needed.

@Naomi0111 Gaaah, my PC just can't handle it. CPU usage shoots up to 100% everytime and it runs slooowly. I think it's either my graphics card or my PC's amount of memory that's the weak link, as I've managed to get it to work just fine on one of the computers at work which has uses the same processor (Pentium 4) I use at home.

im playing dreamcast version right now with weel i cant see a problem ill boot up saturn and try both versions with the saturn weel then i will know witch home version is best wired up to my gamer rocker chair its almost as good as being at the seaside :D

Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought Daytona USA: CCE was shite compared to the original.

So many people seem to praise it over the original port, yet, like what was said in the video, for every problem fixed it added yet another (Better frame rate, yet the handling was terribly broken. Popup was reduced, yet the awesomely cheesy music was replaced by terrible rock remixes, etc. etc.).

And as for 2001, I actually enjoyed it... after I turned the steering sensitivity down, that is...

I hated CCE, if they slapped a different name on the cover, noone would know that it was a Daytona game. I also hated the new camera angle and shape of the cars.

2001 was awesome, I loved it myself and I'd be perfectly happy if they ported that version to Xbox Live or PS3 as an online version.

The Dreamcast version looks amazing, but like you said, the controls are WAY too sensitive for it to be really enjoyable.

Daytona on multi-player cabs in the arcade utterly rocked, but on home systems, I always preferred Ridge Racer.

The handling on the Saturn was kinda horrible, while the triggers for accelerator and brakes on the Dreamcast felt so wrong after being used to Playstation layouts.

Hmm... I should probably try it again, as I'm getting used to that kinda layout on the PS3 now.

I always change the setting on PS3 racing games to have brake & accelerate on the Analouge stick's.

After playing Motorstorm for the 1st time and realising you were using triggers for brake & accelerate i wasn't ready to change to that set up.

I usually use that set up for car controls in FPS or TPS's, no idea why.

I don't like the accelerator on the triggers as your hands get tired after a while, I've even had my fingers lock whilst playing PGR2.

They've actually still got this at the arcade in my hometown. It was four player, but they recently took two of the cabinets out to make room for Let's Go Jungle! and Fast and the Furious, so now it's only two player! They've still got four-player Sega Rally though, so hope is not lost.
