if they are using "motion capture" why not a character that cannot look human like DARKSEID, MONGOL, or DOOMSDAY or THE PARASITE or something? Zod LOOKS human despite being 100 million times more powerful as does superman.

I think it's a disaster. I've watch several interviews with the actor playing him and he has neither the look nor the presence needed to play Zod. As the trashy KKK guy in Badboys II, perfect, but seriously, General Zod?? Zod is supposed to be intelligent, commanding and intimidating, this guy look and sounds stoned. Although we don't know if the suit is CGI through the whole movie, Zod would look way better wearing a suit like Faora's. (He'd especially be better with another actor playing him)

@sldrmdc Totally agreed, but someone told me that if this movie will be sucessful (and we all hardly support for this happen), in a sequel they would put Brainiac as the main villain and responsible for Krypton´s destruction, and Metallo or Parasite (I can´t remember) for other villains in a lower scale (as subvillains of brainiac), and I heard about a mention about Doomsday and Toyman. For me, the best part is, NOTHING about Lex Luthor (We´re getting sick of him).

That is not Michael Shannon in the mo-cap suit. He's been seen wearing a black one, but that is not him, and that is not Zod.

Pretty Interesting, I bet the Zod will look great in CGI, hopefully better then "Green Lantern". Like the way I think Henry Cavill will never replace Christopher Reeve, I don't think Michael Shannon will ever replace Terrence Stamp.

Haha, so this Superman is the 2011 version, with silver wrist bands and no red underwear on the outside (as shown in the latest comics). Looking forward to this new reboot... :-)
