@ReaperInTheFlowers Well, I do have to agree but they needed(for the plot to thicken) the death of a horse and blood in water like those shots that lasted for only a couple of seconds on the tape's video. Although, I do hope the animal trainers behind the scene managed to keep the actual horse from jumping and what we saw was a CGI copy of the horse, instead.

@ch00scape It's more of a suspensful horror film, in which it's more or less supposed to be like a mystery and a more creepy aspect. Besides, what about either the first or second part when they showed what her niece looked like when she was dead. Not every "horror" film has to be jump out of your skin scary or gory blood and guts. That's what gave this film 3 stars. If you want the kind where it does have a little more to it, then watch the second one. :)

The director thought the audience would be too dumb to recognize the ladder, window, mirror, etc. from the videotape. The look on Rachel's face speaks for itself. Constantly showing flashbacks from the tape actually takes away from the tension.
