Not sure if you drag race or not so I may be telling you something you already know, but you wanna launch on the last yellow light, not wait 'til the green. When you stage there's another light just ahead (I forget how far) that actually starts the timer when you break the beams on it.

we weren't doing it for power more for mileage and the tuner also. very rarely were we going to have it set to performance mostly tow or economy. i said tow because we have a very large boat.
Believe it or not, usually you'll get the best mileage in the highest setting. Just need to keep an eye on your egt's if you're towing in that setting. Usually isn't a problem though. I used to tote our bobcat around all the time in the highest setting with zero problems. But it's pretty flat around here too.
I like Diesel Innovations for 7.3 tuning. There's a host of others though, you can check out at PowerStrokeNation. As far as propane, if you're looking to do it for power, don't. Mileage, eh, I've heard mixed reviews when you add in the cost of the propane and the kits. Doesn't sound like it's worth it to me, but I've heard others say it is.
hell yea 6.0 man....im a mechanic at a ford garage and i really am in love with the new 6.4 dual stage turbo. it makes 650torque at only 2,000rpms!! but nice truck man
Truck is MUCH quicker than in this video now. Ran a 12.18 @ 111.71 with the 37" tires on it . No Banks products on this truck, all Diesel Innovations. It's a DI complete long block with B-code injectors, a GT45 turbo, and a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff.
Pretty simple set-up: DI Performance mini-me injectors, DI Performance fuel system, Garrett GTP38r turbo, DI Performance custom chip, AFE Stage 2 intake, 4" downpipe and straight pipe, DI Performance head studs, BD torque converter, DI Performance shift kit, TS Performance 2 stage nitrous. You may also need a minimum of forged rods depending on the year of your truck; around $10,000 iirc. Should get you some mid 12's.
Any thoughts about going to a BTS or John Wood tranny? They should hold up to the power your truck makes... Beautiful truck! You aren't the Elmo I hear about on TDS are you?
If this ATS breaks again I am. I even managed to twist the billet input shaft on it once. :p Not sure which one yet though. Yes, I was on TDS for a while. I'm over on PowerStrokeNation now.
Thanx! It's actually got a different motor in it now with bigger injectors (B-codes) and a bigger turbo (GT-42). It's actually faster on #2 than it was with nitrous before. Just gotta get the trans to hold up now. :p
I am gonna say that even though its not the fastest powerstroke I have seen.... it has some damn good looks to go along and I think that makes up for it.... nice truck man
