This game is really epic, like a breakthrough in how games can be.

The only thing that would have made this game better is the variety of endings.

They should have made endings that fits your actions in game (for example, killing everyone for your own good would like result in exploding the facility, helping illuminati.. you know what ending ,etc..)

I always considered it to be something like the improvements where colour is added to classic black and white film, or CGI is added to replace practical effects in films predating computer effects technology. In other words, they are crass defacement.

Deus Ex has one of the most compelling and effective atmospheres I have ever seen in a game, and that is in large part due to the very surreal, cyberpunk design elements. It's gorgeous.

My favourite thing to do is when you have his killphrase. Run straight the computer (You'll hear Gunther behind you) and access it. Do what you have to do with it and exit. Gunther's position will have reset. Turn around and run straight to the communicator where Simons is now waiting. He won't talk. Gunther will catch up, so use his killphrase. As soon as you say it, Simons will start talking and Gunther will explode on you as you talk for no damage, making you shout in pain.

This video proves (to me at least) how varied this game can truly be. I picked the first choice in the conversation, and this is my first time seeing the second choice pan out. I can only imagine how different the game can be depending on which dialog/actions are picked. Deus Ex really is the best game ever made.

Gunther looks awkward and sucky instead of intimidating in this - no improvements here over the old model - just more polys.

I do think it needs a huge overhaul- not just the anims. I would prefer if he had his original, buff body. The muscles on this new one just don't look correct or realistic, especially the neck bulge. Overall, he looks like a broad yet flat man with a large skeleton with some odd muscles, and not necessarily beefy/intimidating. The teeth look more like a straight row of Chiclets than real teeth, hope they fix.

The real mesh could be used as a base, no?

Two methods:

1) Lock her up with some crates, then beat Alex repeatedly over the head with the baton until he runs out the front door, unlocking it for you. This is the method I used.

2) Throw a grenade at Anna while she's standing near the door. She will dodge the grenade and sometimes run through and unlock the door in the process.

Excellent game, excellent characters. Though my favourite line from this scene is:

The way Gunther said it was just fantastic. You have to leave him in the cell in Liberty Island to get this line, though, and this means missing some skill points and the op bonus from Manderley at the end.

Nice, but as a huge DX fan, I have to point out that the game assumes Anna is dead at the point this video is shot at. There are a few ways to avoid killing her, but they all involve cheating or exploiting a glitch. There's no legitimate way to keep her alive after your little jailbreak, and even if you do, the game still regards her as killed because that's how the game was designed.

Also for those who haven't heard it, look up the mod Shifter.  It makes the game much better!
