That is a social problem, and a thousand cops waving guns and badges can't fix that. Maybe instead of teaching the young to value $ above all else, perhaps. something useful like teaching them to value honor instead? As for how tough I think i am? It doesn't matter I'll live or die under my own power, not begging for protection

@JoeRingo118 If you want to leave your self defense to others, i wish you luck with that. Personally i like to be responsible for my own well being. If you live in america then a cops first and foremost duty is to create revenue for the state, cops do not have to place themselves in harms way to protect you. My advice would be to buy a gun and learn how to use it, you would be much better off in an emergency than waiting for the police to arrive and save the day.

@MrGuedogeneral you see, there i live, there aren´t barely any guns available for civilians, only cops and military (which is a good way to lower crime rates). and if i have to i will use my self defence.. but buying a gun means that you will probaly shoot anybody pushing you.i leave people with guns and bulletproof armor (and which by the way get payed) for protecting people. im not allowed to have a gun. if your family is in danger, dont call the police, you got guns, they got guns.

@JoeRingo118 not sure about where you live but, here most people that buy guns legally do not commit crimes. the ones that do commit crimes usually obtain them illegally and, passing laws preventing citizens from owning guns would just give the people who obtain them illegally an advantage. think about it, if you were a criminal would you like to rob someone who is unarmed or, would you try it with someone who is armed and possibly lose your own life?

@MrGuedogeneral pt. 2 i think you are missing my point. would it be better for you to be armed with a gun or a cellphone when someone is trying to harm you? the man that is telling you he is going to murder you for what ever reason is far less likely to succeed if you are able to protect yourself. Calling the police might help your family get a sense of justice after the man has killed you, police have to get to you in time to help you. As far as i know they cannot teleport.

If someone is willing to break the law and commit murder i really doubt they care what gun laws are passed. Most gangbangers that have felonies on thier record are not supposed to be able to buy guns, but they still do. All i am really saying is that hard working and honest people should know how to use a gun instead of hoping the police can save before they are simply another victim

I'd say 9 out of 10 cops are corrupt or sicko power addicts, who join for all the wrong reasons. Unfortunately. Like politics, only the ones who should NOT have the job, pursue it. Those like us who would do a great job, aren't interested. Pro Politicians were barred in constitution.
