It's been said before and I'll say it again,eric clapton could play five notes or less and make it sound twenty times better than that wanking..ever heard of vibrato?..or emotion? Randy Rhoads is a great example of a good shredding guitar player because his solos are very melodic. LISTEN to Goodbye to Romance solo and start trying to play shredding that is not only FAST but actually SOUNDS GOOD lol instead of just playing fast and going nowhere. Goodbye to Romance is what a guitar solo should be

shredding is pointless, wtf is wrong with you people. Shredding is amazing because it resembles the greatest rock/metal of all time, THE 80'S. If you don't like shredding and hard rock, why even watch the video. It takes talent, not to mention it has soul, maybe not pussy ass soul, but rock and roll. Basically you are saying that slash, zakk wylde, etc are pointless. All I have to say to that is wow.

Not bad...you have some licks, but the Line 6 amp sounds as fizzy as a coca-cola. Get a Marshall, something all-tube, not that DSL/TSL crap. You need a JCM 800 or 900. Don't just play fast; any wanker can do that. Also-cut out all the effects--it covers up what you're playing (and your mistakes). It doesn't have to be fast to be good.
