Age will inevitably take the superficial beauties of her voice but that won't tarnish her legendary status.

Any woman can get the praises that Oprah is stating today about her interview, must be doing something very right. Rumor has it that she brought the house down. We will see.

I really enjoyed the concert on GMA this morning. This clip does not show what I saw and heard from the ABC cameras. That's my opinion. In fact, I saw a few clips yesterday and was worried and then this morning I saw the show. She will be wonderful at the Grammys! Keep praying for her!!!
Of course it is different - especially considering the dubbing of various parts, including the whole chorus (1st) of this song. I hate to say it - but THIS is how she sounded. I am praying for her...may God bring back her voice - at least in Morocco 2008 version
Just saw the concert on Good Morning America and it was off the chain. Hot Hot Hot!!! She is the best entertainer I have ever seen. All these phone clips are horrible and casts a bad light on what actually went down!
When u sing hard throughout your teens and 20s, you loose your voice. The same thing will happen to Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson. Fantasia is already battling throat tumors and a weakening voice and she is barely 25. We just need to keep Whitney in prayer, because there is more to her story that we have yet to learn about.

Some ppl who are protective of WH will bash on this comment but those who can just see the voice for what it is now will be honest and admit, even tho sadly, that it is true.
I'm not going to make any excuses or mean comments... we know why her voice is strained now.. but.. as a vocalist myself, even I know that the best voice is going to sound weaker if you keep moving around.... so a voice that's taken some wear and tear needs all the air it can get. just stand still and sing to us.... and BREATHE
well she's human. no singers in voice 24/7. especially on this performance she was probally nervous as can be being her comback performance

This is not just a case of hoarseness.
Listen to the studio version.
She has irreversibly damaged her voice.
She should hang it up (as should Mariah who sounds awful nowadays).
The only ones who have somehow maintained--and they are much older:
