Bilinda is nit useless at all at playing guitar. I have a copy of a Peel Session MBV did as early as 1988 : the two guitars were separate in stereo, Bilinda's on the left, Kevin on the right so you could make out each other's. And the word is, she CAN play.

She can play, I can play and surely you too, but she's not brilliant, she has said it. Only do simple things following the bass... anyway, I like this group, but it's a little overrated.

A guitar part doesn't need to be challenging to sound beautiful.
Your mentality is why there are 20 minute prog rock songs of guitar olympics. Ie, masturbation and self appreciation.
