i have a bueel 1125CR and it will put mad spankings on an R6. raced my uncles 07 CBR1000RR thats been piped and power commander against mine stock and its barely faster....
I never liked what a v-twin sounds like on a sport bike, But I am thinking about getting one of these or a xb12r as a second bike. There different. I have a r6 right now.
Generally the air-cooled motors are very reliable. However, being a hand-built bike there can easily be variances leading to problems. Sorry you had trouble. :-(
jibstick26, not to rain on your parade... as I own one of these and love it. The factory geared 1125r top speed is around 160-170 MAX... I think Ken Hill had a video of him rocketing around Road America with the camera aimed squarely at the instrument cluster and it was reading 160+ indicated in the straights.
I've had mine up to 160 mph indicated several times. Ran out of road pretty quick. Found it to be aerodynamically limited to 155 mph with my Firstgear Silverstone saddlebags on.
Calculations show that the 1125R is limited to 173 mph by gearing & the rev limiter.
I need to take mine to the track to find out... ;-)
have you ridden it yet? do you have any idea as to what the dyno numbers are like? or how it sounds throught the rpm range? im trying to decide between this or the D&D.
It is still salty up here. I think I am going to wait until summer to take the bike to a dyno as in the closest one is a 2 hour drive. It mellows out while driving but gets quite loud when you get on it for the 5 miles I have on it.
dude my dads a salesman at harley davidson n he got to test drive it at poconoe raceway back in septamber of 08 i think i forget though, n they go about 180mph n the have crazy torque so u can be in any gear while in a corner n with the buell name they have great handling o n btw im only 16

did you have to change the head pipe to get the slip-on installed? or was the pipe there after you took the stock muffler out?
danalex0501 1 year ago
@danalex0501 The slip on comes with the mid pipe. The head pipes are stock

@danalex0501 most of the time you can fit it in but sometimes you would have to bend a few stuff to be able to fit it in.

I never understood this reasoning.
Is a Mondial Piega an RC51?
Is a Bimota SB8 just another Suzuki TL?
Buell wanted to go racing, you can't race anything with the HD motor.

Hopefully lost most of the Buell problems associated with the Thunderstorm 1203 as well...my STT has had nothing but trouble.

You mean the Harley sound?
Regardless, I had an XB12R and really do miss the sound. But the 1125R is twice the bike.
At least the Torque Hammer exhaust sounds great.

I have not been able to take the bike out yet. Winters setting in I'll have to wait until spring.
