Don't get me wrong the SEC isn't unbeatable by the North (Michigan and Penn St fair very well against them) but again you cannot deny the defensive speed.

Now the offenses North vs. South is pretty equal, but like I said the SEC has the best defense and that's the difference maker a lot of the time.

I think Michigan was caught off guard a bit but App St beat Michigan with offensive speed. And that is the deference between the North and South. The South just has faster defenses. If you look at both games Michigan and LSU offensively did the same things vs. APP ST. But its that defense, Michigan, Ohio St, Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn St ect......all have slow defenses.

We just cannot get those supper athletes and "team speed" on the defensive side of the ball like the southern teams get.

look it was a rebuilding year last year. app put 4 players in the nfl. they also lost the all time leading rusher (not in nfl) a 3 time all american center(not nfl) 2 2 time all amer corners. that is a lot of talent to replace at the fcs level.
