In the book, it says Marcus mother was found dead in imulsion crystals cave or something. But sense gears has this kinda genre, it could be that maybe when they did find her body, later on she couldve mutated or something. Or locust could have gotten her. So the whole, Locust queen is marcus mother situation will never be resolved till Gears 3

I tried the same theory myself, she could of been part of the group that went to Mount Kadar with Niles and the Sires. The Sires were: "The genetic bridge to the future." They could of evolved into the Locust. And reading a file at the New Hope Research facility a girl named Ruth was losing hair, growing, and becoming very violent, along with losing sight, that could be your first Beserker. Oh, and the Queen has Adam Fenix prisoner in Gears 3, and a lot of the plot is trying to rescue him.

I know for a fact that the queen is Ruth. I'm not sure if people know the story but here it is. Humans were creating(trying) super soldiers. Adam Fenix was a lead scientist in the experiment. They would take other animals and trying to combine them with humans to give humans other skills. They would do this underground so humans wouldn't find out (hence why Adam Fenix knows all the tunnels underground). The experiment failed. Instead of telling it a failure, they decided to keep them underground

Ruth was Adam's partner who decided to volunteer herself as an experiment (she's the queen) Feeling pity for the experiments, Adam lets them survive, hence why she says its ashame you didn't follow his path (letting them survive).

The queen, Ruth, was Adam Fenix's partner. She was a subject to the experiment, hence why she's part human, part creature of some sort. The failure of the experiments (the locust) started attacking underground, where they hid. At the end of the game, when Adam Fenix goes "what have you done?!" He's obviously upset because his creations are being destroyed. I'm not 100% if he's Skorge but I'm assuming from the game. The queen states to Marcus "Skorge informed of your plans to sink Jacinto"

It's called an anti climactic boss. The developers took so much time making Skorge look badass that they didn't have the time to make the fight ridiculously hard. While RAAM was badass, he used only a troika and moved slow. If he and Skorge were to go at it, RAAM would've been cut into pieces by the time he could get his finger on the trigger.
