Levaquin turned me from a happy, healthy, fit 36 year old into a stiff, sore, slow-moving 90 year old woman in less than ten days / ten pills. Six years later I can't even remember what it was like to have 'a life'. If you're hit with Levaquin's adverse reactions, you better be prepared to say goodbye to high heels, dancing, running, workout routines, hiking...and more things than will fit in the space this post allows. And in too many cases, including my own, your marriage.
Do not take this drug if you have bipolar disorder. It not only interacts with some psychiatric meds-- in particular, increasing risk of seizure with certain SSRIs -- but can also cause horrible depression. Gen. practice doctors don't tell you this. Bad news if you already suffer from depression.
I was given Cipro 500mg for six weeks. After I finished the second week I stopped it, I starded feeling heel and hand "arthritis-like" pain. Three days later, I'm feeling back pain, tingles, etc. I will be seeing a neurologist next week. The doctor that prescribed this to me has nothing else to say other than "I'm sorry for you, I had never seen these types of reactions to Cipro."
I was given Cipro for a UTI 10 months ago... they didn't even see any bacteria in my urine sample but gave it anyway. I now have body-wide tendonitis (confirmed by 3 MRIs) and peripheral neuropathy (confirmed by neurological tests). Furthermore, I had the same neurological test done only 2 yrs ago and everything was fine. These drugs are bad news and should only be used for last resort... not first line. My condition is continuing to worsen; based upon other victims, I have years of hell ahead.
I was prescribed Fluoroquinolone by the National Health Service in the UK in 2004 as an antibiotic. I was on 1200mg twice a day.
Three weeks later I thought I was having a stroke, and I have not been able to see properly since, have peripheral neuropathy, tendonitis & arthritis at the age of 29, and am only just starting to connect up the dots.
Severe Depression and suicidal thoughts according to the insert can appear months after the 10 day course so yeah i decided to go against my doctors advice and not take the eugenics/population control pill.
* Something was odd about this med it had a N
NWO buzz word "Fluoride" which is why researched this drug.
Fluoride is a known toxic that also causes bone and tendon related injury along with the side effects mentioned above.
Quinolones are being dispensed like candy these days. I'm only 15 and been given Cipro by my doctor for an urinary tract infection that was not tested for antibiotics. After being 2 days on it I became aware of how dangerous this class of medication was, so I called my doctor and let him known I was stopping it. I hope I get to see a doctor who knows what he's doing next time.
@tiago2002 You are one smart 15 year old! Good for you! I learned the hard way to double-check everything that every doctor suggests, and will forever be mind-boggled as to why they don't know the truth about these pills, and why they refuse to believe us when we tell them.
I took Levaquin a few times in the last 4 years and had long lasting reactions also. The last time I took it after I had a respiratory infection the side effects never went away. I still suffer from increased pulse rate, insomnia, and other effects that cause me to be depleted. I have found that L-Theanine has helped me to get by day to day to deal with the stuff that continues to go on. L-Theanine is a amino acid that helps with the stress and has other effects that are not yet proven.
I knew about these effects, told my doctors, and they still gave it to me without my knowledge. I was bored and looking at my IV and saw Cipro and almost freaked out. They all looked at me crazy but agreed to change it. Later that night I decided to look up what they gave me and what do you know it was Avelox (another Fluoroquinolone). I rather deal with Diverticulitis than the terrible CNS problems I've experienced due to this drug. The ignorance of these doctors astounds me
To those "critics" of this video, go get floxed then come back and post. Go take a 6 week supply of cipro and while you're at it take Advil and drink coffee everyday. I promise you won't be critical of this video anymore, if you're even able to watch it.
I laughed at the "if you knew how" thing at the start of the video because it reminded me of my step-brother who is very educated and works in the pharmaceutical industry. He has said a few times now to never trust what a drug company actually tells you :P
I've recently been looking at the side effects of antibiotics, I started having panic and anxiety attacks, after a tramatic experience,2 yrs ago. They have compleltey stopped now except for, EVERY time i have to take antibiotics. It looks as though its a trigger for lots of people. my doctor didn't understand y i balled my eyes out when he said i had tonsilitus.
This video grated on me so badly that I had to post multiple times here, as well as extensively on Parts 2 and 6. The theme songs are a bit much. The twangy guitar starting at 0:49 has lovely scenics, but the white guy straining to sound funky with the Levaquin Blues in Parts 2 and 6, and whose self-parodying lyrics, followed by an impromptu dance by a Grateful Dead concert veteran with no tendon problems at the end of Part 6, demolishes all credibility.
If the rambling old fart here at 3:21 is supposed to be democracy's Every Man, give me a monarchy. he pops up in Part 2 and at the very end of Part 6 doling out Mayberry-like advice.
The young teen starting at 0:25 says, "You know?" six times in 19 seconds. Still, he comes across as well spoken due to the infusion of e-mo-shun. And yet, he said nothing; nothing.
It is noticeable that everybody in this video, the victims, experts, victims friends and families, are all very attractive people, and breathlessly well-spoken at breakneck speed, as if their True Believer minds are in constant rehearsal. These attractive, accomplished, and mostly white and male people and their supporters somehow need to either gain attention, or deflect attention away from an inner- or outer-blemish by substituting a new flaw for which they are not personally responsible.
I have no doubt that what these experts have to say is true; however, their studied smugness is offensive, in particular Brian Wolfman. Note his schadenfreude at 8:08 to 8:10 when he describes the tragedy of suicide and smiles while doing so. With misanthropes like these looking out for me, Ill risk taking the drug.
I was the pilot in this video and I would like to report that while we/I may not have been clear enough to describe the horrible side effects we suffered from our experience with this drug, they were extremely troubling. Insomnia, depression, anxiety, numbness of the extremities, fatigue, confusion, reclusiveness, visual field disturbances such as floaters, difficulty being in fluorescent lit rooms or buildings, heightened senstivity to cold, heat, among others. I am back flying so there's hope
i've had lots of horrible side effects from drugs, but nothing to the extent of what these people went through. im just wondering, does anyone know if these people went to congress? shouldn't there be a way to get the word out about what happened to them? like in the media and stuff?
All involved in making this video, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! You have done something very important for your fellow human being! I was floxed more than 2 years ago, and am perminently damaged, disabled, and in constant severe pain 24/7 with Peripheral Neuropathy in my feet, legs, hands & arms. I take a large amount of medication to just be able to barely cope with life. PLEASE never take LEVAQUIN or any of the others!
That may well be. But considering there are many alternative antibiotics but this is the only type which can cause these hellish reactions, permanently damaging people for the rest of their lives, there is no question of whether these drugs should be banned from use permanently.
Anyone who takes these, knowing about the possible risks is gambling with their lives. Unfortunately many will have no clue about this. They just won't know any better.
as a surgical technician..I'll tell you this..I've seen some horrible reaction towards this drug from people..daily..as well as I'm a victim of Bactrim, Cipro. Still have adverse effects..only popped two bactrims in one day and one cipro the next..this was 5 months ago and every once in awhile I still have adverse effects..Horrible..horrible..Warning to all..think before ever taking these meds..
This is so scary and in need of being communicated to the whole world. We are all in need of being educated on this subject. The Drug Companies seem to be all powerful. Money does the talking and we pay for it. You are to be commended for your great work.
Thanks for telling us. I will avoid these drugs like the plague. And we definitely need to change the way this corrupt system does drugs! Lot of frikken drug lords they are.
Thank you for this brilliant, outstanding, and professionally done documentary. Words cannot express the priceless and valuable excellence of this documentary.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Prima documentaire.
