The only reasoning I can come up with is that it was the 'will' of Odin to have Blake be able to pick up the hammer and even summon Thor with it in this show. Go figure.

That's all we had back then. We ate it up. The Flash and the Batman hadn't come out yet. Hard to believe Stan Lee was on the set at the time. He probably had no input into the movie just like the Dave Banner / Bruce Banner thing. Director took creative license :-)

For all the people who want to knock this, yes these first 2 reunion movies were more campy and comic book oriented obviously, but these were 6 years after the great tv series ended which was taken way more seriously and more of a real feel and not in some comical terms like these lighter reunion movies are except for the third movie Death of Hulk which was better but gave to me an unsatisfactory conclusion to the story.
