Excuse me, but I play a bit differently, let's just say that I'm a bit more "careless" and it always works out fine for me, I made a short play-through , that I couldn't finish because hypercam f***** up on me, but I still have episode 1, 2, and 3. Do you mind watching them and giving me advice? I would really appreciate it if you would reply to me :/
Oh: part 7-2/2. Sorry about my confusion. I see you held off promoting your units until just before using them to take back your city. That’s a good tip. Thanks.
"Oh hi thar! We really love how you've given us so many gifts and trade, liberated some of our cities, and share our religion. By the way, Time to Die."
very curious why you let them have a city without a fight .?? You're gonne lose so many guys anyway trying to get it back..Was it because you only had an offrnsive force with no defense ??I asssume ytou had some defensive guys in the city already .why not attack theh guys on the roads instead of letting them get city bonuses and kill your monuments etc
probably because chariots don't get any defensive value. the only thing he could have done is what he did. whip an axeman and bounce out the chariot. Mounted units are almost always better to attack with then defend because they don't receive any defensive bonuses.
Promotions heal units so you save them for later just in case. Also you can upgrade them depending on the situations they encounter. So if you are fighting archers you get the anti archery upgrades, but if you go against horses you take the mounted units upgrades.
Instead of going Buddhist right away, you could have built a Buddhist monastry and sent missionaries to turn Montezuma';s cities Buddhist first. Then you could have convinced him to go Buddhist before going so yourself... Alternatively, you could have made a real effort to turn Isabella and Augustus Confucian, and then gone Confucian yourself (making yourself the holder of the holy city for the religion of all 3 AI's)...
What's your theory on farming, do you build a farm per city or something or just when yo see some nice land to farm. Just wondering because farming was always the one thing I had trouble with doing cause my cities would out grow their working pop too fast and it became to hard to manage wealth and production. What's your thoughts on it?
I wish the answer were easy enough that I could just tell you. You want your city to grow into its best tiles, then work them, and sometimes farms speed up the optimal rate.
The only times you'd want to keep farms forever:
1. City is a specialist "GP farm"
2. You're just going to keep whipping, even after biology
3. You need to work a farm to work other improvements on the other tiles (more important after biology *usually*).
I can't agree at all with that statement of farming. Farms will help yous support specialists in your cities, as well as grwo your cities up more quickly. Specialists are useful anywhere you build them, since they often produce fairly high levels of culture or commerce or production as well as GP points. If they just produced commerce or production, or just produced GP points, they might not be worthwhile. However since they produce BOTH, it is good to have a fee around...
and population is good not only for Slavery, but also for drafting w/ Nationalism (allowing you to maintain a smaller standing army and simply draft some of the units you need if attacked).
Rack up a few civics that increase the usefulness of specialists directly or indirectly (such as Representation, Pacifism [enhances GP production], and Free Speech [doubles rate of culture creation]) and you're in hog heaven...
yeah, I wish Youtube set a data limit per video instead of a time limit. It is the size of the video that is the issue but the site demands 10 min videos anyway, no matter the size.

when you were talking about how bad the AI was, the first thing that popped into my head was Artificial Idiocy

Pretty funny, Izzy asked you to declare or stop trading with Monty the very turn he declared war.
Where did the GG come from? Did you save him from the war with Greece?

Why don't you apply troop promotions right away?

Representation, of course, provides +3 science per specialist.

I accidentally messed up my timer, and went well over YouTube's time limit, so had to split it.

It had to do with copy protection issues of some sort, although its stupid because people just partition things anyway.
There actually is a limit to size though it is pretty huge.

why did you cut the vid in half
