Brilliant. I had a Nakau round the corner from my hotel in Hamamatsucho in Tokyo, this funky little tune played whenever I walked past morning, noon and night and i popped in often even if it was just for some soup. I also loved that when you placed your order at the machine you heard a "Miso" or "soba" etc coming from the machine in the kitchen. Best value joint in Japan, Happy memories with this song, thanks for posting.
haha...this is the corner with kappa sushi across the street right? Sure looks like it. Sanjou-ish. It was a small portable stereo (silver color I think) that played the song right?
haha, funny thing your saying that. I immediatly made that tune my ringtone. The quality isnt that good but who cares! every time i get a call i think about japan!
By the way, i send the file to my travel companions and they loved it to and they both but it on theyre phones.! Hilarious!
@bird1234 hahahaha I did the same thing!! I also hummed along with the cross walk beeps my mom and brother where so mad at me half way threw the trip.
Oh man. Thanks for recording this. I used to live above Nakau in Sakuragawa, Naniwa Osaka.
Nothing beats a hangover like a katsudon, a bowl of miso and about 20 cups of cold green tea.

I sang it the rest of the trip - my wife hates it now. I was thinking about making it my ringtone. Yeh, I can't wait to go back to Kyoto either.
