You said your copy of a f5 morgan monroe lacks tone, and your f2 has better sound. You think that just, because it doesn't say Gibson. I hate to tell you. Your Gibson doesn't have any more sound. The Morgan Monroe sounds better. In your other videos. I've heard alot of Gibson that only sound ok.

Mick, I can't tell you how many times I've watched this video. I love it. I bought my first instrument ever, a mandolin, in April 2010, and started taking lessons soon after. I'm a bit old to start this, but what the heck, I'm having fun... Someday maybe I can play this. Thanks for sharing this, and your other videos!

Hey Mick nice picking great tune -- did you realize you intro'd it as Fisher's hornpipe? Fisher's is a lot easier song to play -- Sailor's is a workout and you do a nice job!

yep your absolutely correct go to the top of the class. I'd learnt Fisher's first then tried this one - got the two mixed up.

you can pick them up on ebay quite cheap and they are reasonably easy to play but you do need to dedicate a lot of time to them
