some people call them mole crickets or spider crickets but what they are camel cricket from japan and your right they arent supposed to be in america. in new jersey they are everywhere now cuz they eat rotting leaves and nj is nothing but trees. since nothing eats them around here they just keep increasing in numbers and size too they have at least doubled in size and they were never small to begin with so.

lol, they are freaky but there harmless there are two names for them the cave cricket and the camel back cricket i found one and sent it to an entomologist and thats what heidentified it as

they're actually called cricket spiders, and yeah, they're scary as hell, mine was a like orangish yellow wattery transparent color, and was going all crazy in the basement while i was sleeping on couch

i've been bitten by brown recluse spiders a few times. And when i walked into my bathroom and saw this big brown "spider" .. it scared the shit out of me when it leaped 3 feet into the air.  I never seen spider crickets before either and i keep finding them in my bathroom in the last few weeks ! eeek

they aren't poisonous or dangerous. and apparently nearly blind. they just jump at people as a defense tactic to scare.

Spider cricket is what I call them too. I just did a search for "spider cricket" to see if anyone had video of the things. It's good(?) to know other people have seen these things too.
