Much as I very much admire the skill of John Hong with the organ - I was shocked at the huge difference in overall sound when compared to the same material played on a traditional pipe organ. I say this as a complete inexpert, but my ears can't have deceived me that much! Well-equipped as this type of organ is, it sounds like being "all things to all men", and so, it hugely fails to warm and lift the listener as pleasingly in a rich deepness or quiet power as the old-type pipe organ does. I doubt John Hong is a lutheran, they just got to enjoy his vist and his playing in their Church, like all the other Churches he has played in!
