I will, however, upload the montage only once -- with the first Jugalbandi item as it would be a waste or YouTube resources to include the intro piece in each Jugalbandi item.

Thanks imsujoy & IMNxJRSP5G 4 the invaluable videos. I'm 29 and was below my teens when these videos used 2 air on DD. I think all the channels should broadcast these videos again so the younger generation gets 2 know who Pt Bhimsen Joshi, Pt Shivkumar Sharma, Ustad Allah Rakha, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt Hariprasad Chaurasiya, Pt Ravi Shankar, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Bismillah Khan, Pt Jasraj are, as they are & will always be the 24 carat true jewels of Hindustani music. Pranam & Salam 2 them.

There is another montage video used repeatedly as an introductory clip for Jugalbandi series broadcast by Doordarshan. I have some of the recordings and will upload these when I get spare time. I will, however, upload the montage only once -- with the first Jugalbandi item as it would be a waste or YouTube resources to include the intro piece in each Jugalbandi item.

This brought tears to my eyes...i was a kid when i last heard it..never understood the true meaning at that time. whatever the language, whatever the culture Raag Desh sounds the same everywhere and its absolutely divine! Why isnt doordarshan making more videos like these?
