@amber1195...The funny metallic taste you describe might be caused by a couple different things. First is because you might have the aluminum version. If you have the stainless steel pots then you might want to carry the plastic fuel bottle and stove outside of the kit. I hope this helps.
man you got style, i`v got the stainless steel version, btw yes is from sweden not swiss, im from sweden to and i`v used this one for over four years, and it`s still the best mess kit i`v got, the swedish army is using this type and done that for about 10 years now , and man you just gave me more ways of cooking with it, so big thanks to you buddy , and keep upp, and i will se your comming videos, btw sorry about my bad english , im not so good at spelling
thanx for your videos. ive just purchased a "sweedish army mess kit" and i'm interested in cooking more than ramin noodles or rice. i enjoy your clips , thankyou.
why dont put more recipes to cook with the trangia stoves, i have three stainless steel one. where can i get a dutch oven cookbook for i can do those kind of meals. very interesting ideas.
I used this kit for about 4 years. Then purchased a Trangia 27-3. It's nice...but, I reverted back to my Swedish mess kit, just because I can do stuff like this.
Clever use ... maybe a touch dangerous for me but dang if it doesn't point out the versitility of the Swedish Kit. Nicely done and now dang it I'm hungry!

Frying? Now that's a consideration, isn't it. Hard hauling in oil though. Yup! I'm thinking for backpacking. Thanks.
