  • do you think a 70 javelin sst 390 4 speed that looks good and runs good maybe some paint needed and body alignment needed for 7500 is good?

  • just simply beautiful.my father has had several hornets, gremlins, javelins, and 4 AMX's. my favorite has alwas been the little red 70 AMX. AMC's will never die.THEY WILL JUST GO FASTER AND FASTER AND FASTER. this puts much joy in the heart of this 30yr old AMC FANATIC.thank you for this uploaded video.

  • Great editing! Keeps your interest and shows the money shots. And the camera isn't shaking all over the place!

Smooth wheelstands! Wow! She's a steady, rock solid driver. Consistant times, too.

  • American Motors !!

  • awesome video!! doin us amc guys very prowd!!

  • Who doesn't love an AMX ? An all time classic.

  • Sweet car Hot chick!

  • Awesome video and awesome to have such a goodlooking wife who drive her a-- off in an Awesome bad a-- AMC small tired street legal untubbed race car!!!! Way to go Stevev and Ann!!! Please post some more video's asap!!!!!!

  • Great car great video and some excellent driving. I have a 1970 AMX 390 4 speed owned since I was in High School 1976. Raced drags, hill climbs, and salt flats. I sat in the bridge over Bandimere Speedway suites with a bunch of Chrysler stuffed shirts in 1992 and watched the all new Viper line up for a slalom against a 69 AMX. The Chrysler guys laughed and made fun of the Rambler until it beat the prized Viper by over 3 seconds a great day for my AMC ego.

  • No matter what we all say to mr. marksman he most likely will maintain

that no one else knows what they are talking about. Met their type many times.

Although they are a Mopar or chevy guy whatever , they seem to think they know more about AMCs than an AMC guy would. Unreal. Chevy made a 302 so did Ford. Ford and Dodge made a 360. Chevy, Dodge and Ford made a 400 did they must have all shared.

  • Nice 100% American Motors Corporation made in USA automobile! I own a 68 AMX w/390 4spd that is no comparison to your machine! Great video!

  • AMC's used a Chevy rear? Wow, I guess that means I installed a bunch of WRONG parts in mine. I've rebuilt two AMC rears one big, one little and used Dana parts. I must be an idiot.

Mopar steering gear too eh? Hmmm, somebody get this guy a map and point out Saginaw, Michigan. Hate to burst a bubble.... but EVERYBODY at one point or another used Saginaw-sourced steering parts. Ford, Chryco, GM, AMC, Packard, Studebaker, Hudson, International, Kaiser, Bricklin etc, etc ad nauseum.

  • 100% ***** Excellence! This lil'AMX ROCK"S!

  • Met you guys at National trails, a great couple and what a ride! Check out my cuda and see if you remember me? Cuda.mov on the tube---Randy

  • Steve you should thank your lucky stars to have such a awesome driver for the AMC!

  • Where can I buy that kind such a lovely set ? Nice fun...

  • I had the opportunity to meet this team a while ago back at Atco, great people and great personality behind them. Good luck to you guys!

  • idc what anyone says an amx is way sexier then a camaro or mustang

  • have to agree, this video was awesome

brought back some amc memories indeed.

great work and no,im not jealous..i keep telling myself..lol!!

    beautiful car,beautiful lady.

  • Always nice to see a female driver kicking some ass... and of course in 70 AMX makes it all that much better... drive safe - daughter of a '69 bittersweet orange AMX owner

  • I read about this car in a magazine last year. Nice to see a video of it. Had 2 AMXs myself in the 80s, long gone. Congratulations to you both, fantastic piece of machinery.

  • ALL AMC LOVE IT!

  • @randykable even though AMC is just a mix of a bunch of companies, but no doubt i love their body styles but thats about all that is actually theirs.

  • @RifleMarksman1 Do please tell us about this amazing knowledge you have of this "mix of a bunch of companies"?

  • @Brootal290 primaraly ford motors, chevy rear, mopar steering mechanisms etc. i still love AMC but many of their parts are from other companies

  • @RifleMarksman1 - Wow, where have you been getting your information from? The AMC V8 is a completely independent design. Yes, it has the distributor in the front. No, that doesn't make it a Ford. Yes, they built a 360 engine (and a 290, 304, 343, 390 and 401), but it's not a Chrysler. They also used a Delco distributor, but does that make it a Chev

They used TF727 (and Turbo 400) but so did Rolls Royce and Jaguar.

If the parts were from other companies, it sure would make my life easier! :)

  • @RifleMarksman1

Mark, just go buy a old Rambler/AMC, then go to your local chevy, and Ford dealerships, adn see if they will sell you parts for your chevy/ford/amc. they will laugh you out of there doors. or they are unaware as yourself, and they will sell you parts that even modifing wont fit your AMC engine!

you opened mouth and inserted foot sir!... next time if you don't know what your speaking about, best to not say anything to make yourself look dumb all the way around the world!-)

  • @RifleMarksman1 wtf? that is the stupidest thing ive ever heard. you dont have the slightest clue man.

  • Amazing vid ! Just wondering what the R/T was on some cuz just amazing how well the car hooks up and great reaction

  • me and my brotherinlaw both had 1969 AMX 's mine a 401 with 727 torqflite 10 inch ATI race convertor[sleeper, stock mags, blue, white stripes]his was the big bad orange,390,T-10 crane hydraulic cam, stock heads, flat tops,he ran 11.40 119mph,these motors are good for 500 plus hp,steel crank and rods help them live.Good Milidon pan and some plumbing is all the oiling system needs.

  • Love this Car!!! Specially that Booger green color...LOL! Just ignore the music and enjoy the show.

  • ive seen chevys run times like that . . . . with a 200 shot ot nitrous :0

  • great cars, strong engines,390-401 steel crank and rods, heads are so so but Indy has a good head.Short wheelbase,a true 2 seat sports car, only other is a corvette.prices are rising quick.
