Thanks for your vote! This was my first real attempt at stop-motion animation and I learned a lot. There are definitely things that I would do differently next time, but I had a good time making it.
stop motion is lame. it's not creative. it's a parlor trick. hope this doesn't win. most of the other videos are much better. this one is painfully slow.
Apparently you've never created a stop-motion video. If you had, you would know that it takes more patience than most individuals possess and more time than you apparently spent learning grammar and punctuation.
Your negativity reflects poorly on your character, especially since this dude isn't going around and posting nasty comments regarding other videos. If you don't like it, don't vote for it, but you don't have to be a jerk. Grow up.
This is SO original. It blows the other videos out of the water! What song is that - it fits perfectly with the video. How do we vote for yours? I can't figure out the links.
I hear they announced the finalists today. Are you one? I think this is very well-made and clearly took a lot of time, but if you profit $10,000 using solely Lego figures, isn't that kind of problematic? LEGO recently launched a lawsuit against a small-time webmaster who ran a fan site because he ran google ad words and made a few bucks off their iconic figures/blocks.
Thanks for your comment. I contacted LEGO legal before embarking on this venture and they were OK with it, with certain conditions (disclaimer, no use of the logo, etc.). I knew it was going to take a long time, so I wanted to have my bases covered. I think a scholarship contest is (at least in their eyes) fundamentally different from advertising revenue.

Yeah, stop motion IS lame...oh, wait---it's how ALL movies are made---with a series of photographs taken in rapid succession.
I'm sorry you had to be a jerk and immature simply because you or your friend didn't make the finals.

I'm puzzled by the idea that an entire category of expression can be "not creative". Please, elaborate.

And yes, it looks like I will be a finalist.
