just for clarity, halo reach is the final BUNGIE halo game, but that dosen't mean that the series is dead yet. some other companies could still make halo. Gearbox (maker of Borderlands for those who are going "who?") seems to be the top candidate since they ported the first 2 halos to the pc

@state135 absolutely not. Reach is the best Halo bar none. Visually its absolutely beautiful, gameplay is the most refined and involved of any halo, and it stands up there with some of the greatest FPS's of all time. I played through Reach on Legendary and had it beat within 24 hours, and it did not disappoint one bit. But hey, im kind of a Halo fanboy... :P

@jamessonic5621 the Halo 4 trailer looks really cheesy, 343 is trying too hard and doesnt have Bungie's class when it comes to trailers. And in my fanboy opinion, John-117 and Cortana's story is over. We know how the war began, how it ended, and we know every single fucking thing the Chief did during. His story's been told, and I loved it, but it feels like they're beating a dead horse by trying to force more into a finished storyline.

Microsoft had a hands off approach to Bungie, as they first bought the company, then let it go back to being independent, they realized Bungie's magic only works on its own. Microsoft did NOT do the storyline, that was Bungie. The viral marketing campaign, specifically for Halo 3 was handled by Bungie, while Microsoft did the large scale advert programs. Its a planet completely built by the forerunners thats featured in the halo novel "Ghosts of Onyx" its a shield world is what its called, and its purpose isnt entirely clear in the book, but you should definitely read it.
