  • Thanks for your comments @dianthusboy and I really enjoy your comments living lie and deny is not a peace full the matter what you do you can not escape the truths because the world knew !

  • imagine what happen if khmer didnt move from siem reap

  • This is what Thai ppl can't lie to the world is that " Khmer empire used to be so superior, But now Thai showed that we can beat the greatest Ankor and Became the greatest after.

  • @Chetah01 totally agree with you on that. thailand was born out of the khmer empire. you can see everything in thailand today that can be traced back to thailand. i'm half thai and half japanese and i won't deny the fact that khmer is superior of all during southeast asian ancient time. even today, you can't have a complete thai history lesson without khmer in it. it's a fact and i'm proud of being thai and japanese and for having been part of khmer culture. i rest my case.

  • @Chetah01 hahahaha thai people have a reason to be proud after all. since the powerful burmese and champa (vietnamese) were at war with khmer forever but were unable to bring khmer down to its knees. yet siam is a small kingdom out of the empire who was able to bring khmer ruler to his knees. now that's some shitty reason for thai people to be pround of. if siam (thailand) didn't destroy khmer, we probably wound't see the southeast asia of today. history and geography might be different.

  • So, when the siam(Thailand) came to attack the Khmer Empire Is when Khmer king was at peace and not prepared for war. Khmer abandoned the Angkor Watt because they want to stay away from the invader Thais.

  • @MEGARETH69 siamese were people ruled by the khmer empire. siamese paid tribute to the emperor of khmer. siamese people were fed up and so they rebelled. many villages and tribes bound together to form siam. siam then fight for it's identity and freedom. khmer was at war with burma (myamar) and champa (vietnam), so siamese saw this as an opportunity to fight and break away from the khmer empire. siam has it's idenpendence and now moved to conquer khmer. siam destroyed khmer to the bone.

  • @MEGARETH69 many khmer people chose to become siamese and so they abondoned their culture and adopt that of siam. northern thailand has the same story. the Tai kingdom was conquered by siam also and so the Tai people become part of siam. this is why northern thai people look more like chinese and eastern asians. thailand has a fascinating history and its people is made up of so many different kingdoms that's why the people look so different from one region to the next. no one universal look.

  • @MEGARETH69 no, no, no, khmer king was exausted due to the many wars it had with the burmese (myamar) and champa (vietnam). siamese see this as an opportunity to strike and bring down the khmer empire to its knees. so siam attacked at khmer empire was at its weakest point. so siam was able to wipe out khmer empire for good. many khmer people became siamese and assimilate and adopted siamese culture. eastern thailand is full of descendants of khmer people.

  • Khmer are just good at building but not superior in combat as that time, it normal for more superior kingdom like the Thai to conquer other kingdom as the United Kingdom conquer the other countries. The strong will live.

  • @voravit890118 the only reason tais still exist is because Khmers saved them from mongols...tais are cowards who fled their homeland china from the mongols and was given refuge and hospitality in the Kingdom of Angkor.

  • @voravit890118 no, no, the khmer people were good at combat that's why there were able to expand from angkok to southern vietnam, burma, and southern china. the problem is it drained its resources and man power so siam saw this as a opportunity to attack.

  • @dianthusboy Proud to say this? LOL loser !!!!!!!

  • If the khmer is so superior, why their kingdom are not long lasting till now? It just history and they have lose.

  • @voravit890118 so then, what happened to the powerful ancient Greeks? Rome? Think about it....look at america now....its falling apart...not because of the country itself..but because of mismanagement and infected citizens who does nothing but bad for the country...just like the "allies" (tais) during the Angkorian empire.

  • @voravit890118 true and combodain people today still CAN'T get over the fact that their ancient khmer empire was DESTROYED by thai people. there is still unrest social conflicts and hatred between thailand and cambodia today. thailand also destroyed burma too. there's still unrest conflict between thai and burma today too.

  • theres sooooo many wonderful places all throughout mexico and the yukatan peninsula that were suddenly abanded so at 40 seconds or so WRONG

  • So Thais are the Angkor looters?

  • @dogfoodtogo yes, some what. not looters for fighters to free themselves from the bully of khmer. siamese were just sick and tired of paying tribute to the emperor of khmer. just like the americans were sick and tired of their motherland england so they had to fight for their own independence. it's all about survival and freedom.

  • Fuck AHHH SIAM!!

  • @khmerpreah401 hahahaha SIAM WOULD PROBABLY FUCK KHMER BACK TO YOU TOO. LOL.

  • Something doesn't add up. Tou Cho Kwan's statement that Khmer had no missles, no bows, and just lance were a contradiction. We know that Khmer had fireworks and explosive power because he talks about it during the new year observation. We also know Khmer had swords and archery because that is engraved on the walls of Angkor and an enscription about the King's mastery over archery and all the arts of war was written. He is likely describing local militias or village armies.

  • @sunrise3500 firework was brought to khmer by chinese merchants.

  • Anyone watch "Thailinguistics" video? Trying to spread Thai propaganda and has comments disabled lol.

  • i don understand why they don't accept the truth which all of world historians claimed , most of thai peep are pathetic they live in lie

  • @thyshadee i accept it. it is truth. It is just history and thai kingdom also have superior history.

  • @voravit890118 true somewhat, but thai history doesn't go very far back. thailand is a very very very new country. it's not like khmer empire or chinese empire where the historic timeline can be in the thousands. thailand history can only be traced back to about 600 years.

  • @thyshadee hahaha, thai people are not pathetic. they're warriors that's why they were able to bring down such a vast empire like the khmer to its knees. thai people totally wiped out the khmer empire of the surface of the earth.

  • @channy2t i know right that "thailinguistics" person knows that he/she is wrong to disable commenting lol. That stupid idiot!! lol

  • The Khmer were builders and peaceful people, that was why they were so ill prepared in the attack by Siam. The Siamese were pretty much warlords that attacked Burma and neighboring countries. Bullies rather steal and fight than to do anything monumental like the Khmer in their building the Angkor Empire.

  • @KeraPera You seem to be thinking that the Siamese were an evil empire. Every empire sees another empire as more evil than thiers. You also seem to have forgotten the greeks who had both good builders, and a powerful military.

  • @KeraPera well said my friend.

  • @KeraPera The Strongest survived

  • @KeraPera peaceful??? are you nut? did you not hear the narrator said that Khmer were at with the Champa (veitnamese) and neighoring kingdoms? it's the khmer bully and excessive hunger for war that caused other tribes and kingdoms to rebel. thailand is a very young country. within the land if what today is thailand was composed of many different kingdoms. these thai kingdoms united and form siam to fight against the khmer. thailand was born out of the collapse of khmer empire.

  • @KeraPera the khmer empire was built at the expense of other smaller and weaker kingdoms. please take anthopology 60 or southeast asian studies and you will learn a whole lot more. your positive view of khmer might not be the same.

  • i hate Thai more then Vietnamese also "DaraKong" not Khmer its "KAMPUCHEA PRIDE" REMEMBER OUR CULTURE OUR HISTORY OUR LAND!!!

  • it was renamed to kampuchea by pol pot. if you are proud of that, you are proud of khmer genocide.

  • @calica02 everyone hates everyone else in south east asia. cambodia has issues with both thailand and vietnam. thailand has issues with both burma and cambodia. vietnam has issues with both cambodia and china. malaysia has issues with thailand and singapore. the list goes on and on forever.

  • @dianthusboy Hahah Who told u That? Fucking stupid Cambodian!! We only have an issue with stupid cambodia not other countries. Where did u get that news fucking stupid cambodian?

  • @Chetah01 no, no, no, we thai people had problem with burma and laos too as our country expand. Esan is basically a territory that we conquered from cambodia and laos. part of northeastern thailand was actually laos. remember the burmese burned down our ancient city of ayuthaya??? what about sukhathai??? maybe you didn't have a complete thai history lesson in school but i learned alot while staying with my thai mother in thailand. too bad my japanese father had to take me out of thailand.

  • @dianthusboy I know a lot of tiny details about the history more than u. Cuz i'm a master of European culture. Now studying In Finland. But yep i have to study asian cultures too.

  • @Chetah01 good, then study some more so you can get a full history of thailand and the whole south east asia. i recommend anthropology 60 or southeast asian studies.

  • @dianthusboy The history you learned are from only some pieces of jigsaw that are not complete yet.

You have seen only less than 1% of jigsaw of the whole picture but the historians (the French in this case) made up another 99% and tell you it's fact.

  • @Chetah01 good, you're a master of European culture, but you're not a master of ASIAN culture, so you have no credibility in any asian issues. i think you're better off solving the chechnia-russia issue or the European economic crisis issue. the Israelite-Palestinian is a middle-eastern issue, oh the middle-east is part of Asia too, so your European expertise if out of practice too. sorry, but that's how i feel.

  • @dianthusboy HAHAHAHA Stop fucking telling me the lies. U don't even know how things go in Asian.

  • @dianthusboy So pls stop replying messages to make peace. Peace will never happen between Thailand and Cambodia as long as Stupid cambodian ppl accept what they got from Thailand and what Thailand got from them. stupid cambodians always say thai copy their culture. what a funny bullshit.

  • @Chetah01 no one says peace will between thailand and cambodia. but a least, thai people need to accept the fact that their culture is based on khmer. for example, the thai written system is by on the khmer. if you analyze thai alphabets carefully, you will see that is based on khmer. even the thai temples, palace, etc are all based on khmer concepts. thai people do borrow heavily from khmer culture. that's a fact no intelligent thai person can deny that.

  • @dianthusboy hahahah Alphabets? it's adopted don't u know? U r trying to tell me in what u never knew before.

  • @Chetah01 thailand has always in conflict with cambodia and burma since ancient time and still is today. the thai-cambodian-burmese issue is like the israelite-palestinian issues but on rice wine mixing with fish sauce and sticky rice. lol.

  • @Chetah01 european culture is based on greek and roman. east asia cultures are based on chinese. south east asia is based on khmer, north asia is based on mongol, south asia is based on hindi/indian, west asia culture is based on........only god knows!!!!!

  • @Chetah01 thailand has some issue with malaysia too over border dispute. you need to gear up your thai history before talking to these cambodians ok. i'm not cambodian and i'm telling the truth from thai history book. im thai-japanese.

  • Khmer Pride!

  • Thai is known for kissing ass, i give the vietnamese more credit as far a being warrior.

  • @Baysidelocal true the vietnamese were able to kick the chinese ass out of south east asia. the funny part is the CHINESE GOT THEIR ASS KICKED OUT OF VIETNAM BY TWO VIETNAMESE SISTER-WARLORDS. NOW THAT'S SOME EMBARRASSING SHIT FOR THE CHINESE TO EAT.

  • Thank for sharing this amazing video.

this video is awesome! I love discovery channel!

This what the Thai cant lie the world.

  • @khmeramerica thai never lie to the world. in fact, thailand acknowledge that it destroyed the khmer empire. everyone knows that. it's tought in every thai school. you can't have a complete thai history lesson without any mention of khmer in it. i'm half thai and half japanese and had lived in thailand and went to thai school before. it is something that thai people are very proud of for being able to set thailand free from khmer rule. i understand your feelings. the victims always angry.

  • this is dimishing to khmer ppl ...

  • @thyshadee it's not dimishing to khmer people. it's setting the record straight so the world knows what happened in ancient time. in fact, it should make the khmer people proud that the world finally know their past and the accomplishment they had. nothing to be ashamed of.

  • We did, repeatedly. We even striked an offensive when Thailand was fighting Burma, and for a brief period regained prosperity.

  • @twxscndbr99 true, then burma lost so much territory to thailand. the burmese territory was in fact part of the khmer empire. after chasing the burmese back to their homeland, thailand focus its military campaign toward cambodia and laos. thailand was able to wipe out khmer empire for good and finally bring peace to the region. laos was an easy win for thailand. Siam conquered khmer, laos, tai and burma. siam renamed itself thailand.

  • @dianthusboy Khmer ppl just only know how to Bullshit about its own history.

  • @Chetah01 i think they know more than just bullshitting about their own history ok. i hope you do realize that almost everything in thailand is based on khmer culture. thai temples, religion, written system, arrigation, rice puddy, etc are all based on khmer culture. the world will know the truth. we thai people can't deny the truth and the fact anymore ok. just be brave and embrace the truth cuzz it will set our people free and the world will stop laughing t us.

  • @dianthusboy Sorry but i dun wanna read anything u've written. I've a lot of problem with stupid cambodians ! Just tell me R u cambodian or Thai? I've studying about the history Asian and Europe and whatever i told on here or some thai clips that have many stupid cambodians posting stupid things on there. They never listen and can't tell me the sources of it.

  • @Chetah01 i already told the whole world what i am. I AM HALF-THAI AND HALF-JAPANESE. THAI-JAPANESE. MOTHER IS THAI, FATHER IS JAPANESE. lived in thailand before. went to thai school too. but my japanese father pulled me out of thailand when i reach high school age. WHAT ABOUT YOU? you seemed to be in defense of thailand, are you THAI? don't be bias ok. tell the truth. i don't want to deny the fact that thai culture is based on khmer. people frome eastern thailand are as black as khmer.

  • @Chetah01 maybe the japanese part of me tells me to be honest and accept the truth. i can understand completely why alot of 100% thai people are having a hard time accepting the fact that thai culture is based oh khmer, because it will make them lose face and pride. however, no one can deny the truth and fact. let's pray that more archeological work will reveal the truth and tell the truth to all thai people. just be prepare to swallow the truth. my thai mother always told me to be honest.

  • @dianthusboy I think u got confused. Ur mum is Khmer. believe me. Do u really know where Thailand is located? I think no. Thai pp and Cambodian ppl are different. Thailand is a mixed culture with multi racial community since long time. Cambodian ppl pure blood. So most Thai people r not black as u think. Don't try to show off ur ignorant cuz even Greek-Roman u still don't know what is it. I think u r cambodian or japanese wanna be. If u start debating about the culture. Im sure i'll win.

  • @dianthusboy This is fucking not true. Thai temple are not based on Khmer culture. I'm so fucking lazy to explain u or other cambodian ppl. I will not explain to long but remember. Khmer temples were influenced by Hindu. Then they've changed to be Buddhism and imitated the Thai Buddhist temple style. and used wooden temple after. Thailand adopted many things from cambodia in the past but after they empire declined. They adopted a lot of thai things then.

  • @Chetah01 yes, khmer temples were influenced by hindu, and so the khmer spread this hindu influence through its empire (including thailand, loas, and burma). many thai temples were modified design of the original hindu/khmer design. yes, later on when thailand became the new political/military power of south east asia, it did spread its influence throughout it's territory, this is how cambodians ended up borrowing something from thailand. the domoniant culture is the one everyone else copy.

  • @dianthusboy Some stoned temples in near the border are from khmer empire. Just a stoned temples in central thailand and sukhuthai that we were influenced by Cambodia in that time.

  • @Chetah01 i totally agree with you on this. this is why i said so many times that thai culture is based on khmer culture.

  • @dianthusboy SOrry but im not debating we U. I've told on many clips already. And yep u r not worth to debate about the history with me. Go back to Japan and learn how to prevent from Earthquake and Tsunami.

  • @dianthusboy hahah Thai culture based on khmer cultureLOLwhat a funny thing. Sorry. it's called Influence.like Thailand did to khmer too. Can u start telling me when the land has no border? What about the wooden temples? I remember in Sukhothai period some of temples made by stone.Big influence from Khmer empire. But wooden temples are absolutely not.Can u tell me more why the architectures especially Wat or Temple are not so good as Thai did.Can u tell me why there r 44000 temples in Thailand?

  • @Chetah01 the reason some temples were built with woods cuzz there wasn't any stones around and plust working with wood is alot easier and less time consuming and requires less labors. influence is base. the first technology is always not always as good as the later one. the thai have finally mastered and improved on the skills of building temples and thats why the later thai temples are better than the earlier khmer temple. the new house is always better than the old house.

  • @dianthusboy Can u tell me where khmer ppl come from? Can u tell me Japanese or Chinese created noodle? Can u accept Japanese based on Chinese? Can u tell me why European ppl use Roman alphabets?yep we knew already that it's adopted from roman in the pastbut do they have to accept it's based on Roman? No.there's no need.Cuz we know already where it came from.but calling based on and adopted or influence r different don't u Know?with ur little knowledge about who based on who r not make sense at all

  • @dianthusboy Don't u see, Even the Cambodian King palace was designed by a Thai person. Cambodia's Royal Palace complex was begun by King Norodom I (ruled 1860-1904) in 1886, when the capital was moved to Phnom Penh. Most buildings were completed before World War I, with involvement by French administrators and Thai designers and architects. "

  • @Chetah01 that's because thailand has the labor necessary to complete the projects. however, the architectural design is purely a khmer/hindu concept. alot of american houses are built by mexican labors but that doesn't mean that these houses are mexican design and architecture. the mexican simply provide the man power to complete the houses. same logic here ok. just because thai people built the cambodian palace and temple, that does not mean that it's thai idea. thai people did the work.

  • @dianthusboy About 50 years ago Thais created Padthai noodle. It is now one of the most popular inter food. Then the Chineses come to claim that they started making noodle say 4000 years ago. They were the first noodle maker. What is the point? What is so useful and so special apart from historian veiwpoint? Do they want the Thais to stop cooking Padthai?

  • simply amazing....

  • this is a fabulous piece of documentary. I love it, and thank so much for sharing.
