@MusicLova84,..I still own and love this movie, although Spike has said he can’t watch it anymore as he can only see the flaws…I’m quite sure he doesn’t have that same feeling about his Fathers superb Jazz soundtrack.
@Fjord76,It was a great movie and I can't recommend the Soundtrack highly enough,although I'd stretch "86 to"97 to include the very important Four Little Girls.

this is one underated great piece of film B&W art...spike lee is a genius and he should get more credit

I saw the movie yesterday for the second time in 20 years and I can't express how much I dig Spike's movies & soundtracks(especially from '86 to '96)
it's awesome to see his sister Joie playing the double bass and it's always great to see his father Bill(on piano and bass,at the end)

Wow, no comments on this gem of a song.
When I saw the movie, the voice sounded familiar. Then looking at the credits, I saw it was Ronnie.
GREAT song...written well and wonderfully sung.
