Omg you said exactly what I feel about combat arms and league of legends. I have quit ca for about 7 months and have been playing LoL. Riot actually listens to their community and money does not equal power. I've been so amazed by riot that I felt as though I should spend money to support them even though it was only for cosmetic purposes.
Nexon is ridicilous now. There's perks, even more lag, theres still the clan server error, hackers still, and 1 perm is fucking $30. Nexon is sooo fucked up. Just use the 30 bucks on buying Counter Strike Source.

Talk about hackers.... well buy an elite or super elite, you can make your own rules like no specs or limit a gun type. I love this game especially with elite. Fun to play with friends and other ppl.

you forgot to mention hackers, the fact that theres no kicking in the lobby like in ava ( in case the room "master" is afk) and the lag that has gotton worse and not better since the great patch to fix the terrible terrible hit detection a bit more then a year ago (in junk flea i once followed a person empty to mags of a ump directly into his back hitting every shot he turns around kills me n keeps going) and finally little kids calling and kickign everyone who has any skill
My first thoughts on the gun emporium is that it would let players actually forge guns together like getting a M416 CQB with like a G36E or something but that would still make it pretty bad coz ppl could abuse dat.

Well, i think nexon heard you, at least in part. Specs have been reduced in both rank and amount of cash: although rank now is useless, specs are no longer so special and the game is now flooded with them. Of course, this sucks for people who have not even 10k, but specs are no longer mostly NX unique. So there is a balance now....
I love nexon games, i think i might have played them all.. (My favs are ms, dfo, dn, and ca). Tho most games are going cash heavy wise, 3 others games i know will not be like maple or like combat arms. dfo and dn (the new games from china) are quest base games and nx is useless in both games. A person in dfo and dn can be a good player without the use of nx. all im saying is that i can trust that dfo and dn are games that means money equals power. But i see your point.
The other problem with MapleStory is that its ability to not work on any operating system is as profoundly inexcusable as Nexons lust for money. Please, just do these 2 things: FIX MAPLESTORY! and BLANCE COMBATARMS!
At first, I thought the Gun Emporium was going to something to look forward to, because I thought it was gonna be where I could forge 2 guns into 1 powerful gun. for example I wanted to forge a G36E and a M416 CQB. I think hitboxes needa be fixed only get 1 claymore per spec where the OP needs to be in point blank range nd auto turret needs to be killable without jumping on top of it and knifing it 10 times I read in nexon forums that auto turret has like 800 hp o.o thumbs up so people can see also shoot the tip of auto turret weaker point

well gun imbalancement is not an issue its because noobs these days tend to use guns with better stats over the old favs like the l9. even tho the l9 is still a fav for pros tht qs because u wont have to worry about getting the aimer on the body. and after a day of playing combat i see alot of g36es but i still see some guns that you rarely see on a daily bases, i.e tar-21, sr 25 m10cqb se scar and so on

Combat Arms really sucked around balancing weapons. Some guns in real life suck ass in the game which is stupid cuz then theres some great guns I heared in real life get outclassed by guns i never even heard off :(
I could atleast say good news for vindictus since it is rapidly following its korean counterpart and there really isnt much things that could overpower the players. There is outrageously much more of customization options while other characters look kinda fugly.

Read the vindictus forums Nexon personally said that they would not ruin the game with cash shop items. All they offer in Vindictus is just items that change your characters looks and items that prevent a chance of not breaking an item when your uprading from +5-+10 out of +15. However hackers have heavily ruined the game with item creation hacks and bots.
I would like to say this was an excellent overview of what the game has become. If Nexon would have taken types of ammo into account it may have not had this problem gun power balance. A guns ammo determines its power(there is no reason on earth a 5.56 NATO should overpower 6.8 spec, & 7.62 NATO), just my opinion on power. It never should have gotten this bad though. Thanks for sharing your opinion, I'm in agreement with you 100%.

It is not that the L96A1 is bad, as I'm sure lot's of people can use it well but the issue is that there is no reason for the TPG to STATISTICALLY outclass every other sniper in the game.
And I am not comparing LoL and CA for balance. I'm comparing them in terms of marketing. My point is that Nexon does not have to run this type of business to be successful.
Hitboxes have been an issue in this game for a long while. Whether small or big, it doesn't matter. An issue is an issue.
Please DON'T use LoL as an argument for balance....
Anyway, the specialist weapons in CA are hardly used outside of Quarantine and Fireteam anymore, and when they are if you're halfway good you shouldn't have a problem dealing with them. Secondly, the hitboxes in my opinion aren't a huge problem, as most people don't notice them. Yeah they're there, but that's not to say that it's huge. In the end it all comes down to skill, one way or another. That's why CA is still fun. (XP BOOST WOO)!
I don't feel the Gun Imbalance so much as you do... I personally use the Azazel and the S58 Musket (Forged, and it rocks), so while I have probably one of the best possible loadouts you can get, I still don't feel like gun imbalance really affects gameplay outside of more people using the same guns. There's even been more of a variety lately from what I've seen. The difference between the snipers isn't even that bad; I used the Arctic Wolf and the real trick is to just stand still while shooting
Gun balance in this game is horrid. There is absolutely no excuse why hundreds of guns are left unused because they are heavily outclassed. I agree that it in the end, everyone will be using the top tier guns but you cannot ignore the fact the number of outclassed guns are rising every 2 weeks.
With your sniper example, the L96A1 is decent sniper, it is viable but why would you pick it when the TPG is better in all aspects? This is the imbalance.
@CoMpToNHyBriD But why is that a problem? Everything's going to fall into Sturgeon's Law anyway, no matter what, and the weapons still don't make the game easymode. (Sturgeon's Law = 90% of everything is crud, to sum it up). It's the problem when Nexon puts in new stuff, they can either make it consciously better and then the community calls it OP, or they put it in and they get criticized for either making a clone (if the stats are comparable to other guns), or because it's not going to be used
In the end the specialists are the only imbalance that is really negative, the rest is just a side effect of guns being better than others. The reason why you don't see that in other games is because there are so many guns in this game. In other games there are less guns than the amount that you even see used by players here.
What's inexcusable though is when they make a joke about a very real issue in the game. (See Also: Hack-a-noia by CombatArms on Youtube)
@orientalbean Read all my posts before you take a guess at what I'm trying to say please. Also, the L96A1 Arctic Wolf isn't overpowered, so it's safe to say that I'm not making this stuff up. Try the L96 and the TPG-1, use my strategy, and you will be amazed at how small the difference. On top of that, I used to use predominantly GP regular weapons and I still don't see how numbers could in any way make up for skill.

Yes they should have never made overpowered gun's like the TPG-1 Pro ect. but they did make the exact some gun for GP excluding the nice skin and a 1 point boost in the accurcy. you forgot to mention hackers, the fact that theres no kicking in the lobby like in ava ( in case the room "master" is afk) and the lag that has gotton worse and not better since the great patch to fix the terrible terrible hit detection a bit more then a year ago (in junk flea i once followed a person empty to mags of a ump directly into his back hitting every shot he turns around kills me n keeps going) and finally little kids calling and kickign everyone who has any skill

My first thoughts on the gun emporium is that it would let players actually forge guns together like getting a M416 CQB with like a G36E or something but that would still make it pretty bad coz ppl could abuse dat.

Well, i think nexon heard you, at least in part. Specs have been reduced in both rank and amount of cash: although rank now is useless, specs are no longer so special and the game is now flooded with them. Of course, this sucks for people who have not even 10k, but specs are no longer mostly NX unique. So there is a balance now....

I love nexon games, i think i might have played them all.. (My favs are ms, dfo, dn, and ca). Tho most games are going cash heavy wise, 3 others games i know will not be like maple or like combat arms. dfo and dn (the new games from china) are quest base games and nx is useless in both games. A person in dfo and dn can be a good player without the use of nx. all im saying is that i can trust that dfo and dn are games that means money equals power. But i see your point.

At first, I thought the Gun Emporium was going to something to look forward to, because I thought it was gonna be where I could forge 2 guns into 1 powerful gun. for example I wanted to forge a G36E and a M416 CQB. Something like that, but yes it was a HUGE let down.I mean like how can a squirt gun kill someone from 4-5 shots? like WTF nexon?! Or a guitar gun. That's the stupidest shit i've ever heard. Nexon, please fix the issues. Quit adding new maps/modes/guns that just cause even more issues

Some simple things for nexon to do to make this game a LOT better:
- Scrap Gun Emporium. Pointless and creates lag.
- Make Viper and Raven a bit less anorexic (what message is nexon sending here? That being anorexic means people will buy you more o.O)
- Remove the m4 super 90 from gameplay completely
- Put in the old silencer sound
- Release a version of the game where all the game modes and maps are available, but the content is that of the last patch before specs

I think hitboxes needa be fixed only get 1 claymore per spec where the OP needs to be in point blank range nd auto turret needs to be killable without jumping on top of it and knifing it 10 times I read in nexon forums that auto turret has like 800 hp o.o thumbs up so people can see also shoot the tip of auto turret weaker point

well gun imbalancement is not an issue its because noobs these days tend to use guns with better stats over the old favs like the l9. even tho the l9 is still a fav for pros tht qs because u wont have to worry about getting the aimer on the body. and after a day of playing combat i see alot of g36es but i still see some guns that you rarely see on a daily bases, i.e tar-21, sr 25 m10cqb se scar and so on

Combat Arms really sucked around balancing weapons. Some guns in real life suck ass in the game which is stupid cuz then theres some great guns I heared in real life get outclassed by guns i never even heard off :(
I could atleast say good news for vindictus since it is rapidly following its korean counterpart and there really isnt much things that could overpower the players. There is outrageously much more of customization options while other characters look kinda fugly.

Read the vindictus forums Nexon personally said that they would not ruin the game with cash shop items. All they offer in Vindictus is just items that change your characters looks and items that prevent a chance of not breaking an item when your uprading from +5-+10 out of +15. However hackers have heavily ruined the game with item creation hacks and bots.

I would like to say this was an excellent overview of what the game has become. If Nexon would have taken types of ammo into account it may have not had this problem gun power balance. A guns ammo determines its power(there is no reason on earth a 5.56 NATO should overpower 6.8 spec, & 7.62 NATO), just my opinion on power. It never should have gotten this bad though. specs arent really that overpowered.
sure, some of them bring torrents, but that's the only overpowered spec weapon out there.
minigun: long windup that can be easily heard.
airstrike designator: takes a while to use and the enemy learns about it a few seconds before it hits.
gernade launcher: slow ROF and cant be used at point blank range. plus it can kill the user
hornet landmine: can easily be seen.
claymore: user has to manually trigger it for it to go off

also, for league of legends, when they release new champions, the amount it cost to buy them is simply infeasible, especially after the exp/ip nerfs.
so, LoL is doing the same thing.
i'm not saying nexon is justified, i'm just saying that LoL isn't that great of an example.

the way female and male hitboxes work is that females are skinnier from the front, but fatter from the side.
however, since most battles take place with you and your opponent facing each other, this causes people to think that females have smaller hitboxes.
HOWEVER, the overall hitbox is the same; multiply the dimensions of front and side for males and females and you'll get the same value.

It is not that the L96A1 is bad, as I'm sure lot's of people can use it well but the issue is that there is no reason for the TPG to STATISTICALLY outclass every other sniper in the game.
And I am not comparing LoL and CA for balance. I'm comparing them in terms of marketing. My point is that Nexon does not have to run this type of business to be successful.
Hitboxes have been an issue in this game for a long while. Whether small or big, it doesn't matter. An issue is an issue.

Anyway, the specialist weapons in CA are hardly used outside of Quarantine and Fireteam anymore, and when they are if you're halfway good you shouldn't have a problem dealing with them. Secondly, the hitboxes in my opinion aren't a huge problem, as most people don't notice them. Yeah they're there, but that's not to say that it's huge. In the end it all comes down to skill, one way or another. That's why CA is still fun. (XP BOOST WOO)!

I don't feel the Gun Imbalance so much as you do... I personally use the Azazel and the S58 Musket (Forged, and it rocks), so while I have probably one of the best possible loadouts you can get, I still don't feel like gun imbalance really affects gameplay outside of more people using the same guns. There's even been more of a variety lately from what I've seen. The difference between the snipers isn't even that bad; I used the Arctic Wolf and the real trick is to just stand still while shooting

Gun balance in this game is horrid. There is absolutely no excuse why hundreds of guns are left unused because they are heavily outclassed. I agree that it in the end, everyone will be using the top tier guns but you cannot ignore the fact the number of outclassed guns are rising every 2 weeks.
With your sniper example, the L96A1 is decent sniper, it is viable but why would you pick it when the TPG is better in all aspects? This is the imbalance.

@CoMpToNHyBriD But why is that a problem? Everything's going to fall into Sturgeon's Law anyway, no matter what, and the weapons still don't make the game easymode. (Sturgeon's Law = 90% of everything is crud, to sum it up). It's the problem when Nexon puts in new stuff, they can either make it consciously better and then the community calls it OP, or they put it in and they get criticized for either making a clone (if the stats are comparable to other guns), or because it's not going to be used

In the end the specialists are the only imbalance that is really negative, the rest is just a side effect of guns being better than others. The reason why you don't see that in other games is because there are so many guns in this game. In other games there are less guns than the amount that you even see used by players here.
What's inexcusable though is when they make a joke about a very real issue in the game. (See Also: Hack-a-noia by CombatArms on Youtube)

@orientalbean Read all my posts before you take a guess at what I'm trying to say please. Also, the L96A1 Arctic Wolf isn't overpowered, so it's safe to say that I'm not making this stuff up. Try the L96 and the TPG-1, use my strategy, and you will be amazed at how small the difference. On top of that, I used to use predominantly GP regular weapons and I still don't see how numbers could in any way make up for skill.

The problem is not that free2play players can't get their hands on overpowered guns while paying customers can. NO. The problem are the overpowered guns themselves. Nexon should never have released such overpowered guns regardless of whether it's for GP or NX.
