Not a very big Tory supporter but I have to admit Major was O.K. nice and beige and boring, middle of the road no non sense never get involved in anything too much, grey, and banal. Couldn't see Major going to war with Iraq or deploying troops to Afghanistan. Too risky and dangerous, better stay at home here and drink tea and cocoa. Boring but sensible, lesser of the two evils.
