Actually, I checked and the Hampton Inn is almost twice as expensive ($119) and the Holiday Inn is $30 more. The closest thing I found in the same price range was a Red Roof Inn and when I called, it took them 6 minutes to answer the phone and they were rude as hell!
@THEEgenovese I suppose it's dependent on many factors. For that trip, I was looking for 1 double room, 2 nights. Splitting cost 50/50 between Sigma and myself, a room on that strip = anywhere between $60 (Motel6) and $70 (Hampton) each, at the internet rate on the night I decided to book the rooms online. That's not taking into account Sigma's AAA discount; I'm a little hazy on this, but I think the Motel 6 didn't accept it. In any case, higher quality would've still been worth higher price.
