Pronouncing it with the Ann sound at the beginning is the more American (English) way.
@absee8 Gotcha. I guess there is alot of different ways it can be pronounced! No matter how it's pronounced, it's a beautiful name. :) I think we pronounce it almost the same way, Mine says more of AH vs ON, but going back and forth saying the two, the sounds comes out almost the same.
@reneepark87 -- I usually just tell people it is like Daniella without the "D" - (I find this to be the easiest way to help people remember it) but I actually say it just like it sounds in this clip with more of an ON-yell-la sound to it. ~~~ Continued above ~~~~
My grandmother's name was Aniela. She was born in 1914. I named my daughter after her this year (2010). I just did a google search and found this movie called Aniela. I was happy to find this video with English subtitles. I'd love to see the rest of the episodes with English subtitles. Any idea on where to find them? Or can you post more?
@absee8 This is very interesting! It would be nice to find some subtitles. I named my daughter Aniela also, She was born in 2007. May I ask how you pronouce her name. We pronounce hers Ah-nee-ay-la
