I think they say words that make it sounds dramatic sometimes. I never heard anyone say la-gorn in real life. Sawatdee krap/ka is used by younger person to say good bye to the elder.
Can you say sawasdee to say good bye? . You did not mention sawasdee in you video. Is it too formal? You stated above that people do not use "la-gon" anymore. Why is that? Is it too formal? It is interesting that 3 of my books still teach "la-gon" for good bye.
By the way, in last video, you said your sister was going to be in the following video. I did not see her :). Was she unable to make it because of the floods?
Sawatdee ka, I explain about using "sawatdee" for goodbye in my website, please see the link given under the video. For "la-gorn", it is obsolete, sounds very old-fashion.
My sister cannot make it because of the flooding. But I'll go back home to see her myself next weekend, so please stay tune:)

How would I say father in Thai? I know it's spelt phor but I have no idea how to pronounce it
prodigiesrule 4 weeks ago
@prodigiesrule The vowel sounds like when you pronounce the word "law" in English, you just change 'L' to "P" and make it falling tone ;)
