those are really good keyblade i tried to make one of ultima keyblade it turned into an epic fail but we made rikus keyblade i forgot the name a really hard sora sculpture andkingdom hearts birth by sleep the 3 characters. i also made a oblivion keyblade that turned out great. but yours is bit more detailed your keyblades than mine.

Oh i usually just use a jigsaw and 100 and 80 sand paper. Since i'm trying to find a place in england that sells high dencity something foam. So then i can sell stuff to make the money i need (sure i'm REALLY young but meh.)

Overall form is great, nice craftsmanship.

Painting could be MUCH better though, I can see the wavy paint lines even in the video. Touch ups on those would prolly be enough. Edges inside the handle of the blades could use a little more sanding....

thak you very much. And they are sturdy and durable for carrying around at cons and posing for pictures or hanging on the wall. Fighting, not so much. They would probably break or the paint would chip if you were to fight with them.

i would say i painted it the colors i did because i wanted it to have more of a final fantasy feel to it and reflect more like a real sword than a black key. ;) but indeed oblivion looks good to me either way.

how do u get all the lining detail into the blades and make it look so perfect? I've tried to make Oblivion... didn't turn out as good as urs, can u please spare me some suggestions, hints, tips, or some sort of guide?? what tools did you use? you can use a dremel. You got to keep your hand really still for this part. Practice on a seperate piece of wood before actually doing it to the original. Just incase you can't get it down from the begining. Then mouse sand whatever you can to smooth it out. If you mess up, try using wood filler to fill in any holes or areas that went off a bit. I hope that helped. Good luck!

hey, my keyblades are very long. 51" long. 42 is a great size actually. I recomend making them smaller than mine. They are a pain to lug around at a con. I use regular paint. Nothing special.
