I just tried Burberry The Beat today. I liked it. Powder and spice. My sister and her friend liked it. Always like to have the girls opinion before making my mind. If 3 people like it, there is more chances that more girls might like it instead of 1 out of 3. I also tested Burberry Sport. I wouldn't give it more that one star.

The powdery scent in this one is headache inducing and makes me feel ill. Maybe my ex wore too much, but everytime he wore it, I couldn't get away quick enough!

I honestly never tried any Burberry fragrances besides the original which was out back in 95ish? Anyways, would it be safe to say the majority of their fragrances are made for winter. And if so what would you consider to be the best one, a must buy or try, from this house.

Although Brit will always will be my favorite fragrance from this house Touch really is pretty decent, and I agree that it's underated. I also agree on the pepper in the heart notes. I normally cannot deal with a lot of pepper, but this one is nicely done..

@jambrandon531 I have tried weekend. IMO it's a synthetic, sour, short lasting scent, burberry men is far better.. If you're looking for a good, long lasting, summer citrusy based frag from burberry, look no further then summer 2009 edition.

you're right, Burberry is generally a great fragrance house. Burberry for men is a good if slightly uninspired citrisy fragrance. London is the best spicy fragrance I've ever smelled. And The Beat... well.. He's the annoying kid in the family. I'm undecided about Brit. It's a little powdery for my taste but it is nice.

This was my fourth fragrance purchase (and bought it blind). Personally i prefer this to brit, but i love the burberry house as a whole. I agree 100% with what you said about the pepper in this scent - very well done.As far as my experience with complements it is my second most complimented fragrance with the first being VMEF of course. One lady i worked with said it smelled just like her husbands cologne which was "armani code". IMHO this is quality. Great review as always!

Spot on Marc. You're a reviewing beast! I had a 100 ml bottle of this and had to sell it. I love it on paper, but not on my skin. Lesson learned to never buy anything until I've tried it on my skin first. Fortunately, I sold it for more than I bought it for. I have respect for this frag, it's just not for me.

Good review. I find the violet note in Touch far too strong...which is a shame because it's a nice musk. I found that the Body Shop's White Musk for men is similar, a little tamer and quite a bit cheaper.
