I fucking love this song. That's the most profound thing I can say when I hear this song. I guess I ask, does Maynard, Billy, the rest of APC love this song the way I do since they wrote it? Since it's it's a part of who they are? They must. Because they must want people to see them for who they are, no matter how famous they get; that longing must still be there.

The sad fact is there is not very much interesting music made these days. Most of it is contrived and rehashed. But I know A Perfect Circle must be excellent, original and beautiful. Tool is easily one of my favorites. I purposely have avoided listening to APC for years because I knew the delayed gratification would be worth it. I'm just now allowing myself to listen to their stuff. It was worth it.

@Illumirage I definitely agree that sometimes war is necessary and writing it off as "evil" is naive and idealistic, but the current wars are rather pointless. The U.S. goes in for their own benefits, first, and the benefit of the citizens in those countries as secondary.. They want the oil, and so they've made these claims that made the majority of people believe going to war was the only way to keep all of us safe.
We're taking their oil? I've heard plenty of people say that, and called them out on it, and none of them ever are able to provide a shred of proof we're siphoning off their oil wealth. Would not the int'l media rake us over the coals if we were doing so?
The current wars are pointless now, because we've done what we set out to do already. But we're assholes if we up and leave because to them, we haven't built up their infrastructure, or trained their police sufficiently.

I fucking love this song. That's the most profound thing I can say when I hear this song. I guess I ask, does Maynard, Billy, the rest of APC love this song the way I do since they wrote it? Since it's it's a part of who they are? They must. Because they must want people to see them for who they are, no matter how famous they get; that longing must still be there.

The sad fact is there is not very much interesting music made these days. Most of it is contrived and rehashed. But I know A Perfect Circle must be excellent, original and beautiful. Tool is easily one of my favorites. I purposely have avoided listening to APC for years because I knew the delayed gratification would be worth it. I'm just now allowing myself to listen to their stuff. It was worth it.

@Illumirage I definitely agree that sometimes war is necessary and writing it off as "evil" is naive and idealistic, but the current wars are rather pointless. The U.S. goes in for their own benefits, first, and the benefit of the citizens in those countries as secondary.. They want the oil, and so they've made these claims that made the majority of people believe going to war was the only way to keep all of us safe.

We're taking their oil? I've heard plenty of people say that, and called them out on it, and none of them ever are able to provide a shred of proof we're siphoning off their oil wealth. Would not the int'l media rake us over the coals if we were doing so?
The current wars are pointless now, because we've done what we set out to do already. But we're assholes if we up and leave because to them, we haven't built up their infrastructure, or trained their police sufficiently.
