  • Jesus Christ, who woud bet on a 1-5 horse? Why even put an odd on him?

  • @coltcub64 I tried a straight $10 exacta with BB and Icabad Crane. Figures IC got beat out by a nose for 2nd lol

  • this announcer should announce everything, hes epic.

  • its damn cool to see that acceleration of his in the end when they give us an air-view. thats really fast.

  • love you big brown and also kent desormaux and rick dutrow have a good retirment big brown you did good

  • Big brown is a really good and fast horse. i cant believe he won the kd and the belmont. But he was really close to winning the third race. I also feel really sorry for ieght bells to i would atleast tried to do everything that i could possibly do. BIG BRIWN YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!!!! #1

  • The Belmont IS the third race.

THe second race is the Preakness... which this video is.

  • yea you are right about real quiet, he would have been disqualified anyway because he was veering all over the place. And maybe desormeaux didnt think anyone would catch him, he was ahead by 8 lengths at the top of the stretch

  • exactly..I'm just saying you don't finish last after you win by 14 1/2 after the first two tripe crowns..maybe he didn't have any horse and BB was tired but it seems 3 weeks would have been enough..I'm not just saying this, my family has 3 horses racing at emerald downs in washington.. i know horses!

  • saucy..have any of your horses ever won a race after missing the training that BB missed? Respectfully, Emerald Downs is not Belmont Park.I own 8 horses and none of them would have even raced if they had the problems that BB did. One week before the race, Ian McKinlay had to increase the strength of the treatment for the abscess. He was a horse short on training, running on a suspect hoof, in the longest race of his life,in the deep sands of Belmont. He ran exactly the race I expected him too.

  • Kent didnt turn him loose like he did in the preakness..he was coming around the last corner pretty slow but BB has so much acceleration, it didnt seem like kent let him loose like he did in the preakness..its just a shame because he is still a superior horse. IN the beginning he did get bumped a little yet still was running good through the back stretch. Its hard to tell what went wrong with BB.

  • no doubt, kinda makes you wonder. he did get bumped but kent had him in a good position on the outside. Was waiting for that burst coming home. What a let down. Quality horse though.

  • OMG!!! Too Funny!! But Yes, that's what Get Sulky means

  • kent desormeaux should be investigated,,something stinks,,,he had big brown in perfect position,,the horse wanted to run,,desormeaux didnt let him,,,finally horse said hell with it and quit

  • I always bet against someone who "guarantees" a win. Such hubris!

  • Big Brown will be put back on his steroids. Then he will win the Breeder's Cup, then he will make 'Horse of the Year.' As of 2009, no more steroids allowed.

  • Too many newbies when it comes to this game. This horse is no Smarty Jones. Smarty had the best chance and failed. Curlin would have been a triple crown winner if had been a 3 yr old this year.

  • Kent Desormeaux has struck again(1998-Real Quiet). Let's all hope they finally ban the most crooked jockey in racing, KENT DESORMEAUX!!

  • To the idiot who said BB was injured and shouldn't have run- you are beyond stupid! BB won the worst Preaknes field in history, followed by quitting in the Belmont when he had dirt in his face- this field was pathetic- but to suggest he lost due to injury is only making sad pathetic excuses.

  • It had nothing to do with dirt or even Big Brown. Kent Desormeaux wouldn't let him run. Big Brown was fighting the bit trying to run.

  • dude, u r so retarted, its not all kent desormeaux's fault for big brown. He could handle 1.5 miles and if hes had let big brown run, he probably would have been too tired, Da'Tara looked like a monster horse in the Belmont, he wouldnt had a chance

  • I'm retarted, but you say Da'Tara looked like a monster horse while running one of the slowest Belmont times ever. Kent Desormeaux did the same thing at the Belmont in 1998 with Real Quiet. Go watch some film on that race if you don't know what I'm talking about. See what all Desormeaux had to do to Real Quiet just to LOSE that race. KENT DESORMEAUX SHOULD BE BANNED!!!!!!!

  • he looked like a monster horse compared to this field, he just ran away with it, it doesnt matter if its five seconds slower than secretariat if secreatariat isnt in the race, its all relative to the horses actually in the race.

And give up bashing desormeaux, real quiet lost cuz he was tired and victory gallop had some energy to run him down.

  • He may have been tired, Desormeaux let him go as they went around the last turn (WAY too early), but Real Quiet still had enough to beat Victory Gallop and Desormeaux knew it, that's why he was jerking him off stride he knew if Real Quiet still won, that his actions would've gotten him disqualified anyway.

  • The WORST Preakness field in history followed by the WORST Belmont field! Brown was eased because he was badly beaten- simple as that, but the crop of 3 year olds this year is pathetic! LAST YEAR- Rags to Riches WON 4 GRADE WON RACES IN A ROW THEN WON THE BELMONT- this year- Eight Belles is called a great horse- FOR WHAT? Losing 4 of her first 5 races- none stakes, then winning a grade 3 race in a small field- her main rival- a forse that hadn't won in 5 months

  • I agree with you on Eight Belles. I didn't get it myself.

  • and I expect you to believe that "ghost zapper" is a better horse than big brown...

he is still the best horse we have witnessed in over 30 years

  • Newsflash: Big Brownstain raced today without steroids medication. 1st TC race in which DRUGtow did not have him juiced up on steroids and you saw the result, LMFAO.

  • ...never mind.

  • Happy days ! took it on at the crazy price and made a nice few quid. It was clearly injured should never have run

  • Good pick on Da'Tara

  • News flash,,casino drive is out of the race,he has been scratched,,Its all Big Brown from here,,,

  • Casino Drive is go nna wip Big Browns big ass...Big browns name will will changed to big dick at six thirty this evening when edgar prado rolls by him in the stretch!

  • Just because a horse like big brown comes around once in 15 to 20 yrs, does not mean it is on steroids.Get a grip people. The horse is just well trained. Big Brown is the one to beat.GO B-Brown = GO. Win or lose, you will put a big kool-aid SMILE ON MY FACE.

  • acually, yes Big Brown-like all racehorses- are on steriods. Trust me I used to work with a guy who raced horses. He has several and he has told us MANY things that they do to make the horses run faster. These are very fast horses, but they get unnatural help too.

  • This horse showed incredible acceleration at the 1/4 pole. Kent Desormeaux basically shut him down with a 1/16 to go, just breezing. What a monster!! Can't wait to see him crush 'em in the Belmont. Thanks for posting. VJ.

  • I really Like Casino Drive in this race. I'm all about horse training, and really, i can't see this Brown horse be the next tripple crown winner. He doesn't really capture me at all, like Smarty, and Funny. He's magnificient as he could be, but I think the Tripple Crown will have to wait one more year. I just don't see it happening. Next year will be te greatest, even though I dk any 2 year olds in this season yes, lol. GO CASINO! Yea, i know, I'm changing my mind.

  • Brown isn't special. It's the trainer and media that's got things hyped up. I've seen horses of the past over and over. I'm also a horse person. And believe me, Brown isn't special. Now the trainer is annoyed about the comments people make about the hoof. Oh, but it's ok for the trainer himself to bash people...yeah, right. Ok.

  • steroids are not illegal in the triple crown states so all horses use them for the races very few don't.

  • exactly! A guy i know who races very regularly told us that they will also use things like Tiger balm in the horses butt to make the run away from the heat, cobra venom to make their legs go numb, and of course...steriods!

  • No horse will stand up to Big Brown. Triple crown winner right here

  • Oh...it's the horse who has been pumped full of steroids

  • thwaxer - what horse in racing doesn't get steroids? They basically all do .. the vet recommended it to dutrow years ago ... dutrow said on record he would have no problem getting rid of the steroids. We all know they're bad, don't insult a horse for something he has no control over.

  • Blame the horse? It's not like I had an image in my mind of Big Brown grasping a syringe between his hooves!

  • Big Brown has rocket like break a way speed.

  • I thought Casino Drive was going to be a huge threat but, I take it back. I don't think that Japense colt can handle the distance too much. THe Peter Pan Stakes was a good effort and test to the Belmont, but the big one is going to be way much challening

  • Okay, I belive Big Brown really is an amazing horse and seeing him excellerate really is something wonderful to sight. But, the only reason why this horse is winning his way to the Tripple Crown is because he's running against crap here.! Sorry, but if some of those trainers were so coragouus to run their best horse like Cool Coal Man, Pyro, Colonal JOhn, and other strong contenders, this series of the TC would really be something anxious and exciting to really seek through.

  • i feelin' like Eight Belles' death at the Derby tarnishes the Triple Crown this year.

and if we're honest, we're all feelin' some of that.

probably, the only way Big Brown will remove the sad footnote that that filly leaves

behind is if he beats 2:24 flat in the Belmont, and/or wins by greater that 31 lengths.

    possible, but unlikely.

  • Will accomplish what his great great granddad didn't. He will win the Triple Crown. Northern Dancer came up short at the Belmont but I don't see Big Brown suffering the same fate. The Dancer and descendants Nijinsky, Dubai Millennium, Arazi, Invasor, Makybe Diva all showed similar accelleration in various races. My hero - The Dancer.

    fabusys - video "The Dancer"

  • are you kidding me with that acceleration at the end? hahaha!

  • SECRETARIAT´s Power + SEA BIRD´s acceleration=BIG BROWN.

  • did they put mics on the jockeys? b/c I keep hearing some one keep hearing "gah" or "yeah" or something like that.. as if they are encouraging some horse.

  • Desormeaux had a mic on.

  • That is one amazing horse...

  • @angeligabrielle Actually he's just hopped up on steroids. His trainer admitted to giving him drugs once a month.
