Let me tell you the Germany army was the Nazi army and don't try to spin it otherwise Panzeraufklaerer. Just because they weren't all SS troops doesn't mean they weren't following Hitler. This is part of Germanys sin post WW!! is they tried to say we as individuals aren't responsible for what happened but history says otherwise. Patton was a no bullshit kind of guy I believe he respected the Germans a hell of a lot more that he respected the Russians. I don't think he held any particular hatred

I've been to some very touching graveyards / tombstones, including Gettysburg, Arlington, George Washingtons in Mount Vernon, Thomas Jeffersons in Monticello, the old graveyards in Boston and Philadelphia, and some in Lexington and Concord. I love the USA, but to see the buried of those who died in Europe from all over the globe is very moving and may they rest in peace. Thank you to all who saved the world. RIP

The highest rank he held during the First World War was colonel in the "National Army": essentially a brevet commission similar to "colonel of volunteers" during the American Civil War. At peacetime reversion in 1920, he reverted to Regular Army rank: captain.

"Bravest person ever"? I think that, compared to his grandfather, Col. G. S. Patton, ANV, (CSA) ,even he would disagree.

@USAPropaganda Dude..Are any wars being fought in Europe right now? No. Are wars being faught in the Middle East? Yes. Where will WW3 start if it ever does start? most likely in Israel. Iran is all talk as long as the US supports Israel. North Korea is run by a mad man who has said he would restart the Korean war. (FYI, Korean war isnt over yet...it's just a cease fire thats been going on for like 50 years.)
