  • Did anyone giggle at the word 'depuff'?

  • very informative, thanks

  • You'd be quite attractive without that nose ring thing.

  • What's the best shaving cream ?

  • Really great video man. I had all these questions about shaving and mousturizer and you answered them all! Thanks =)

  • oh, you look so different. i just stumbled on this but hey, nice to see you, since you didn´t put a vid on today :)

  • Cool Look Bro. Unique

  • i have been shaving for 20 years now and have always shaved against the grain and always shave before my shower each morning and my skin is fine without any shaving bumps or burns.

  • Very good advice!

  • Does this guy actually shave? I mean, I'm gay too but... dayum!

  • What a great upload! These are cool tips and techniques needed for a nice and close shave. To achieve the close shave without killing one's skin is tough, but hopefully with the help of this video it can be easier done. Thanks!

    PaceShave*com

  • fake and gay !

  • LOL I was just looking tips on how to avoid razor rash....nice daft punk shirt

  • what about the mustache shadow??

  • King of Shaves alpha gel is a really good product to try. It goes on clear and provides lots of lubrication. Thanks for a thorough video =)

  • See book "How to be an attractive man" on amazon. Pretty good advice book and not expensive

  • he has arms like the guy from tokio hotel

  • do you grow facial hair? just saying lol

  • I'm a girl and I'm still watching this hahaha...

  • not disrespecting u but are you a gay?

  • @heartblazer14 please, he's flaming haha

  • Just to comment on your tips...exfoliating with a spinbrush (battery-operated) before shaving, instead of using your hands, will ensure a better shave.

Use a light shave oil, or a light vitamin e oil (2-3 drops) BEFORE using an electric razor, for a closer shave. Cool tips. Thanks.

  • Could you do a tutorial??

  • go to a gym emoboy!!

  • that was a lot of good info. thanks.

  • you can go against the hair growth you just have to be gentle. you also need more cream. its hard to get a clean shave if i dont go against. it depends if your skin can handle it also. you should also try using a modern safety razor or straight razor. there is almost no irritation. the gillette fusion tore my face apart.

  • wow u know so much. THANKS! :D

  • thanks for ur vids! theyre all so helpful! we need more quality videos like this

  • Although letting the shaving cream sit for a few minutes does help; however, it is not necessary as applying with the brush will allow the shaving cream to get in because it gets rid of dead skin cells while lifting and separating the hair allowing for an easier shave. Also a pre-shave oil will help A LOT! this provides for a protective coating allowing for easier razor glide.

  • thanks for the info

  • L'Oreal Pure & Matte is the best thing I've ever used after a shave. Feels and looks great.

  • I cut myself when I'm in a hurry because I press more. The best way to avoid cuts is to always be conscious of not pressing too hard with the razor.

I also never wet shave two days in a row. Electric is better for a more regular shave for me.

And I also find that I have to go against the grain and go over each area 5 or 6 times. Some of us have tougher / darker hair. Shaving oil is really good because you can just respread it between passes.

I don't believe you are removing a layer of skin.

  • fascinating as always. can you advise on anything to be done differently for body hair removal.

  • I am SO making my boyfriend watch this! No more sandpaper kisses, honey!

  • is he gay?

  • do you even shave?

  • yes i do!

  • @dreadloxxxx hey I have ingrown hairs right up to my eyes...what do you think I should do?

  • @dreadloxxxx and after I shave my face gets irritated when I touch it or try to dry it a few days after shaving...help?

  • @Lonewolf777able the real question is can he even grow a beard?

  • Niceeee advice man....like the way you explain things it's kinda funny and cool at the same time

  • Not a guy but I will be referring my boyfriend to this video.

  • how did you spike your hair

  • im gay

  • Nice Daft Punk tee!

  • LMAO I been using the same razer for months and normally i just use soap when i shave. if I'm really in a hurry i Just dry shave while in the car

  • @nasurdan wtf

  • i have a problem i shave everyday in the mornings and my hair grows really fast... i have tried everything ..... how can i prevent facial hair from growing so fast... my facial hair is also very tick thanks bro

  • ahh you know shaving is such a dragg i hate it soo much i was thinking of trying that nair for men or what ever but it works for some but not for others.

  • you are a god send bro!

  • Awsome, Someone else Shaves their facial hair in the shower everyone thinks I'm weird.

  • @TheJeremyJealousy i do that too lol and i use shampoo for shaving instead of shaving cream

  • Thanxxs alot this video was really helpful!!! but some things I didnt quite get because im kinda slow lol. but when you say disposable razors like the ones you can clip off and put another one on or the ones where you can do that and they just get thrown away. And when you said if you have to go over more hair on your face before that do you put more shaving creme on left over hair?

  • biggest.....homo.....ever.

  • Great advices.

I already knew most of them from mantic59 videos. I switched to traditional wet shaving after watching his videos, and although I'm taking a lot more time shaving now, I end with a better result. I'm also able to shave everyday, something that I wasn't able with Gillette multi blade razors due to skin irritation.

I also love the "ritual" of preparing the lather with a brush and the feel of the hot lather in my face. And the blades are also quite cheap, what is bonus.

  • Learned a lot, thanks mate

  • Thank you so much for the info and product links! :D

  • striking techniques - appreciate it, has anybody sampled MAC's latest line of products?? its hard to get makeup in Manderson yet you can receive some impressive cosmetics samples through "Gratis-Makeup-Samples"! there handy.

  • Dude Im not being funny but halfway through this video I realised youre making shaving alot more complicated than it should be. My opinion ofcourse..

  • Gd video, btw u gay?

  • how often do you shave?

  • Oh I can't get enough of LUSH shaving creams. Shave The Planet or either Prince. No rash, no ingrown hair and not to mention the gorgeous fragrance that it has to it. WIN!

  • Love the T-shirt... !!!

I already knew all the shaving-tips you gave, but it was still very interesting to hear you elaborate on it. Thx!

  • its a good video, with great ideas

what i use for my shaving and i know its going to sound weird but what i use is TRESEMME hair conditioner and believe me, it last three days instead of two

    also my skin its smoother

    xx

  • fag

  • i feel like his eyebrows are raping me.

  • @AllSortsOfVideos123 in the best way possible

  • @AllSortsOfVideos123 They are quite the sexy eyebrows.

  • i like to shave the majority of my body. got advice petrilude? or is it the same philosophie? thx AaronJP

  • daft punk!!!!!!1

  • you should try to avoid saying actually. I can tell from what you're saying that you very intelligent, but when people say actually or basically very often it gives the impression that they don't know what they are talking about. Those are just fill in words.

  • thx man for da cool and helpful tips

  • thanx dude

    for the info,

i don't take so much time shaving and its bad, so from now on im going to take my time and take care whilst shaving

  • I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little to no alcohol because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by final moisturizing protective lotion.

  • I have to tell my big brother about this. Since we are African American, he gets bumps on his face plus his skin is sensitive (thank goodness I'm a girl, yay!).

  • great video cheers from australia . im a male flight attendant very informative.

  • you are so gay maaannn ..... tips for women is the right title !!! embarased

  • @The2undercover who cares if he is gay? i aint trying to sleep with him...im just trying to get advice....u?

  • I'm sending this to all my guy and drag friends! Yay thanks!

  • thanks so much! about to send this to my boyfriend! he doesn't believe me when i tell him to exfoliate every time and shave in the direction the hair grows :D ...i win! lol

  • luv the daft punk shirt :)

  • The Art of Shaving has their own website; it's amazing. They overcharge, but the quality is incredible.

  • what moisturizer do you use?

  • @kraznot the FUCK is wrong with you

  • @havoc2055

Here we go again. Another homosexual in the closet! Only a man in the closet calls another man gay for no reason.

    Fuck off asshole... you're blocked.

  • yeah dud thats expensiv :D

    150,- for a razor :O

  • Hey petrilude. i got a problem i got realy dark and long leg hear. how can i work with this?

  • thanks

  • You're a man. You can't become a slut. You are considered a "Man whore" instead.

  • How much pressure is applied with the razor when shaving ?

  • @TheCarneg none, the razor should do the work... sometimes, you might have to re-shave an area to get even closer... but always applying more shave cream/gel

  • i expect my razor to work as it does in the adverts on telly thats what makes you think razor shaving is good but in reality it does not work like this.

Think i will charge up my wireless lektrik shaver beast machine and use it

  • I've been using the same disposable razor for 3 years now. You can survive by applying olive oil to your face immediately after.

I find you can use disposable razors for as long as 4 to 6 months (daily use) before it will actually dull to the point where you can't use it. What's more important is putting on a moisturizer to calm the agitated skin.

  • It's important look good. You wanna date hot girls then become hot!

  • I suggest you try softening the hair by applying shea butter to the area prior to shaving (especiall if your hair is course). The shea is super-moisturizing, AND makes the hair more pliable. Works even better in shower since it won't just rinse off (remove w/soap). Won't irritate or cause allergies, 100% natural, is also a natural sunscreen. FYI.

  • can u put tips for men to do tha face natural or with out puttin make up

  • You are such a fountain of knowledge!

  • Thanks

  • If i don't shave from the opposite side of the hair growth, I don't get a good shave. It looks as if i didn't even shave. Why is that?

  • Yeah I know what you mean its because, when you shave in the direction of the grain, the root portion of the hair does not get caught inbetween the blades of the razor. When you go against the grain of the hair the razor has a better chance of cutting the hair at the root so thats why you see a much closer shave.

I know this cause I also have the same issue lol!

  • Shave with the growth on a second pass. The means shave twice basically. Do a barber shop prep too. Put some cream on your face and press a hot towel over it for three minute. This opens pours and softens your hairs. Use blade Buffing too. Blade buffing is easier with a multi-blade razor. To do so, pull down a couple centimeters, slide it back up and do that a couple times. Dot his on rough spots. BE CAREFUL. Do some research if you want to learn proper technique. Let me know how it goes!

  • wow bro ..great tips!! thankyou

  • i heard u can use olay body wash on ur face as a shave cream.. is dat a good idea??

  • you have the nicest skin

    do you have tips on

    - mainating soft clear facial skin

    - removing unwanted hair from other places

    absinethinepunk

for acne look for products with these key ingridents Benzol Peroxide, Saliclytic Acid and Sulfur these help kill bacteria, clear out pours remove white and black heads

you also need a non oily moisturizer because the benzol peroxide makes your skin dry which can then cause skin to produce too much oil then were back with pimples

  • Any tips for what to do if you cut yourself shaving? How to stop bleeding etc...

It always happens at the worst possible time, when you want to look your best, and then...

  • @Sussexguyuk sorry if your question has been answered already but make sure you dont take asprin or other blood thining medication before you shave. rinse the area once you are done and apply pressure to the cut, leave the pressure for a long time because the cut is very thin and you need to give your blood time to clot to stop the bleeding. press longer than u think u need to. then apply your moisturizer gently over it when it comes time to moisturize. good luck!

  • Thanks for the tip!

  • do you also have some acne tips ?

  • holy shit, thats a fucking sick shirt. I would love to buy something like that :D

Btw, thanks for the tips haha

  • Aloe Vera always contains Vitamin E.

It also works as a natural anti-inflammatory.

Just wanted to clear that up for you.

  • Ooh.. I never knew shaving cud be so tough...

I just take my blade and woof.... :D

    Nice video, keep it up..

  • my girlfriends wants me to shave like Carlos Solis from desperate housewives, how do i maintain that lock style?

  • you have cool hair man

  • tecktonik

  • Those links are good, but not everybody can start with expensive product or wants to spend the money on it. Granted, a good shave is worth it, but I buy $2 witch hazel and $5 nivia aftershave and those work good. Basically push for the expensive stuff, but also state the basics too.

  • mondo tips bro, kind of needed this.

  • great tips here

  • de-puff :D

  • i loveeeeee your hair there

  • Love, love, LOVE the shirt!

  • Try using bee royal shaving cream for men my boyfriend loves it!!! he has never had a closer shave he says and no in growns ever again.

Look into it JulieG did a video on it too.

  • i hate shaven cuz it gives me spots on my chin , i lkove ur videos

  • i have the worst combination for shaving. a really really coarse beard with really sensitive skin i can do all the prep-work in the world but shaving ONLY with the grain doesnt do shit for me, my face still feels like sandpaper and its blotchy because some spots simply wont cut at all in that direction, and to shave in more directions to get smooth i butcher my face.

i would start by going with the grain then id do more passes across the grain then against. smooth as glass but wounded.

  • gotta love daft punk

  • hello there. nice vid. my facial hair goes in all different directions so do i need to shave like that? and also if i only shave in the direction of my hair it doesn't come up very smooth. like if i rub on my partners face it still feels rough. any tips? i use a gillette mach3 vibrating shaver. should i change it? :D PLUS i get mean rash on my neck. HELP :D

  • Shave in 4 different directions rather than one.

Shave downwards. Shave across in both directions, and then shave upwards.

  • @coffeemiloteasugar for razor burn rash i suggest using tend skin ..you can buy it at sephora and for a moisturizer use murad razor burn rescue. Your rash will dissappear after a couple days just make sure you stick to it.

  • man, ur so skinny!

  • this video was very helpful thanks

  • How do you shave with an electric shaver? Any special or different with an electric shaver?

  • nice daft punk shirt =]

  • how do i exfoliate?

  • In this video, you recommend exfoliating before you shave. However, in other videos you recommend only exfoliating one to two times a week? Before you shave, would you recommend a light exfoliant, and when you "exfoliate" use a heavier one?

  • what do u think adout hair depilatory creams?

  • Depilatory creams are often harsh and contain many chemicals which damage hair follicles as well as irritate the skin. I've NEVER found a depilatory that works for your face without giving you major redness - and pain.

  • man, i dont really agree with 6 razers a month for me ( i need shaving everyday ). but i agree that these have to b sharp. other than that.. good video really.

  • sorry to say but that is misleading. pores don't open and close like windows because of the temperature of the water. u shave with warmer water because the steam is beneficial. as far as rinsing the water can stay the same temperature, or use a toner to return your skin to the original ph.

  • I'm pretty sure Josh is right. If you had an injury or blemish on your body, you'd ice it to keep down the swelling. Well, freshly-shaven skin is the same. And actually, pores do open and close based on temperature, try looking it up if you don't believe me.

  • i thought u shave first then exfoliate.

when i wake up i was my face first with

    the mac green gel cleanser

then i shave with the mac shave gel

then exfoliate with mac microfine refinisher.

can u give me good advice or let me know what im doing wrong to fix it.

    thanx hun

    love JOHNY BOY =]

  • i thought u shave first then exfoliate...like when i wake up i wash my face with the mac green gel cleanser because my face is really oily in the morning then i shave with the mac shave gel and then i exfoliate with microfine refinisher from mac

  • Hey bro great info!!!!!! Ur da best

  • You have the most beautiful eyebrows EVER

  • do u shower before u shave or after?

  • after

  • Hey all, just wanted to second the thumbs up for Art of Shaving creams. I have gone through a tub of lemon and lavender. They really are worth the money, and last longer than you might expect. Although the shaving creams are great, i would skip Art of Shaving's preshave oil, the brush, and the aftershave balm. In my opinion these items are overpriced and balms like neutrogena or nivea work better for less cost. Just my two cents!

  • So, I used these tips the other day when I shaved and they worked awesome! Much better than how I used to do it. Thanks a lot, Josh! =D

  • ... .So how many layers of skin do you lose every time you shave? lol jk jk =)

    <3 U!

  • This was actually a very helpful video, thanks a lot!

  • Alright, so I wanted to ask since I didnt see it mentioned: what about those electric, rechargable shavers? Should I finally move on to the actual cream and razor routine?

I gotta find a closer shave method before prom which is exactly 2 weeks from now xD

  • yes! electric shaver got on my nerves....wasnt getting a close shave plus it irritated my skin!

  • do you recommend after shave

  • He said you can use after shave as long as it does not contain citrus, peppermint, or too much alcohol and you want to make sure you moisturize your skin. He said some after shaves can double as a moisturizer.

  • Excellent advise. I use several products for shaving, they are all very good. The Art of Shaving-lemon, Love It! Grooming Lounge shaving products-Excellent. Clarins for Men Shave Ease-Outstanding!!! Did not like eShave products-Very Greasy. Zirh shave Cream-Outstanding. Shave Slowly, with the grain, short strokes, clean blade often and replace often for a great shave. Happy shaving guys.

  • Hey! I actually tried *some* of the tips (not all of them) today and I was surprised that it apparently worked quite well. Now since I have incorprated several of the tipps, so made more than one change to my normal routine, and I've only done it once, I cannot say, which of the tipps caused the effect or if its the combination of all of them or mere coincidence. All I can say is: I had a very close and clean shave, no irritated skin, just soft smooth skin. Hope I can recreate that effect ;)

  • So, in case some of you are interested what worked for me - what i did was:

    1. exfoliate with a gentle facial scrub before shaving.

    2. shave under shower (as usual).

    3. use a shaving cream/balm I sometimes use

    4. apply it and leave it to soak first.

    5. apply another layer and reapplay, whenever shavend off.

    6. use a finger to stretch the skin and lift the stubbles and follow the finger with the blade *directly* (no space betwee finger and razor)

    7. No pressure on the razor, just on the finger

  • this video is a very cool *_* nice boy

  • Thanks for the tips.

  • i have used shave cream from aveda and it irritated my skin and it started to burn and sting and the sensation lasted around 15 minutes... MAC shave cream rocks my sox
