  • So cool, how long does it go on a charge? Is it ever a problem and how long is a full charge? Over night?

  • My father was GE's referral for warranty work on these things! Hey - need a traction drive motor for a E15 ? they sold for 1200.00 in 1979!

  • I have a NEW never used snow blade for one of these.

  • I bet that thing is heavier than the newer ones. I didn't know they had those back then, but I do recall the gas crisis in those days. My friends were always stealing gas anywhere they could. Not that I was ever with them at the time.

I passed up an old 70's electric snowblower at goodwill, because the wire plug was fried and they wanted 30 bucks, which I thought was too much for something like that. I guess I could have converted it to batteries.

  • They don't. Separate motors. One battery pack. The batts are wired in series for a total of 36 volts.

  • Didn't know these had separate batteries for the traction motor and the deck.

  • The 6 six-volt batteries are connected to act as if it were one huge 36 volt battery. This powers the mower blades, lights, power lift to raise the mower, and the drive motor which moves the tractor. There are also attachments (snow blower, chain saw, front end loader, garden tiller, etc) that are used on this machine and they also run off the 36 volt power pack.

  • Are these worth anything today? My Dad junked a good one with all the attachments years ago. =0(
