they didn't wear a single bit of makeup because the creator wanted the audience to look past their looks at the actual person they were portraying. Once this happened, they started looking more attractive. Although Sandy Edwards, Eve Wilder, and Suzie Driscoll were already hot.
I read about the actress who plays Lou Kelly & it's hard to believe she was once a shy kid. She is a great actress.
