Personally Dead Space is a far superior horror franchise with a better story, setting, characters and actual scares.

However DOOM was just awesome, mainly because it seemed the only thing that went through the protagonist's head was "KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL". Add in the fact that he is in the most incompetent universe ever "Guys it's a portal to hell.....LETS OPEN IT....AGAIN!" and you have a game that only ID can pull off.

This game is 6 years old and it still scares the shit out of me. In fact the boss fights are rather timid compared to some of the minor special enemies that appear in the game, combined with the intentional lack of lighting, use of a flashlight, and suberb sound effects, this is probably the scariest game I will ever play.

fighting big monsters on a fairly good graphics game like Doom 3 or Quake 4 just seems so lame. i dont know why but when i played Quake 4 and i was fighting the Boss monsters, it just felt stupid. probably because these aliens had so much detail it looked kinda retarded,

I prefer lower detail games like Quake 2 where the monsters (even the big ones) look cool without all that crappy extra detail.

nah, fighting Mohc isnt the most difficult part of the game because you fight him in an open area. Fighting multiple Dark Troopers Phase II is much more difficult.

With Mohc though, you gotta be careful not to let him corner you because he can surround you with these energy balls which home in on you and can deal a lot of damage.

Nar Shadda, Jabba's Ship and Arc Hammer are the only levels that gave me a hard time.

and the trandoshans with their concussion rifles are a pain the ass..

the concussion rifle on Dark Forces requires a little skill but once you get use to it, its the best weapon the entire game... and it is vital to beating Nar Shadda and very helpful on the levels afterwards.
