My only criticism and that is for this ballad type,

I would calmed down the expression on the bends and harmonics as personally I think it doesn't suit. Totally in my opinion and Mike will of course play it how he wrote it, and that's the way it should stay for all to hear and enjoy.

It's nice to see a guitarist like yourself who can not only shred like a bastard, but isn't just interested in playing as many notes as they can cram into a bar, but actually has a good ear for melody and phrasing, and can construct a good guitar song with great melodies, harmonies and can write a tune, which doesn't get boring or formulaic.

Best I've heard in a long time - Mike, you have your own style. It's great - very dynamic. Satriani, Vai, Malmsteen, Petrucci, Bratta, Wylde come to mind and you seem to have all of their best traits. Nice melody like Satch, aggressive like Vai, flatpicking like Malmsteen, tapping like Bratta, hybrid picking like Wylde. Geez. Best of luck to you. You deserve it.
