@Goat344: They are actually my custom StepMania lights which I put a lot of effort, time, weeks of headaches from programming, and of course a bit of money, into. They might not seem so homosexual if you see a video dedicated to them (such as my recent one using the music "Native Faith").

Thanks. Actually, the only work I have at the moment is part-time at a hospice shop - computer-based stuff is just a hobby for me at the moment.

I will have a tutorial video out soon for making the custom StepMania lights, and to them you can connect things other than lights (like this Miku box =P).

But you are aware that StepMania only flashes all at once when "in-game", right...? If you use pins 2,3,4,5 for the 4 lights, my program to be released very soon will be able to flash them independantly to a simfile. (Yep, I've got it working by parallel! =D)

Well believe it or not there's actually a program already out there that does exactly what yours does. It's called RaveLights. It's pretty basic, which is why I'm still eager to see your program, but it works in about the same way.

And yeah, I know how stepmania doesn't handle the lights too well. ;__;

In the menu there is a bit of variation however.

Yeah, I tried RaveLights, but I was disappointed in the way it left out flashes every now and then, and it got quite noticable with fast simfiles. So as a challenge for myself, I set out to create my own. One thing RaveLights has which mine doesn't yet and which I like is a playlist / queing, but this won't be hard to add. ;)
